Ekodeck has been a fantastic choice for my new balcony, much better than wood. Other than a quick sweep from time to time, no need to treat Eckodeck. Very easy to install but mind this will be a trade delivery in a long 10m plus truck with a crane to delivery to nature strip so ensure you can accept the goods, each piece is 6 metres long and 23kg. If you're a white-collar DIY, please speak to a tradie first to understand how this will be delivered.

I found that it's actually getting better over years under the Australian sun. Even if you scratch it with furniture etc, you can easily sand it. It always like brand new. No maintenance, no headache. Very warm and nice feeling with bare foot. It feels much more like timber than composite

Bought a couple of weeks ago for a low deck, it was easy enough to install with the quick fix attachments, very happy with the result for a first timer.

Very easy to install but mind this will be a trade delivery in a long 10m plus truck with a crane to delivery to nature strip so ensure you can accept the goods, each piece is 6 metres long and 23kg. If you're a white-collar DIY, please speak to a tradie first to understand how this will be delivered.
I found that it's actually getting better over years under the Australian sun. Even if you scratch it with furniture etc, you can easily sand it. It always like brand new. No maintenance, no headache. Very warm and nice feeling with bare foot. It feels much more like timber than composite

First time deck builder. Replacing old pool deck. Product is easy to install and looks great. Quick fix means no drilling so it's quick to install.
Easy to work with and looks great. Added bonus of no oiling or staining. It’s a bit more expensive than standard decking but much less upkeep
Hi. I bought some of these boards for building raised flowerbeds. Definitely no good as they are very hard and brittle. Even with pre drilled holes, the boards will split and break when putting screws in. I used Trex composite boards for the flower beds instead as they are easy to screw together due to being of a better texture for what I needed. For decking the Eko boards are probably OK with the special fasteners as they don't need to have screws put through them but for anything else they are no good. Also on a side note, with them being very brittle they may damage easily if something heavier is dropped on them.
I have used this product to completely replace worn out timber decking boards at home and it’s not only easy to install but also requires little maintenance and looks great !
A great way to extend life of a deck but beware - if it is exposed to sun you’ll be playing a painful game of The Floor is Lava!
Despite this stuff being quite different to wood, it is definitely better than wood. One thing to be aware of, though, is that the faux-wood texture from plank to plank can be noticeably different and quite apparent when installed. Hopefully you can see what I mean in the attached photo.
