Elac Debut SUB3010 Subwoofer

This sub was the last piece of an ELAC surround system: two Debut 6.2/two Debut 5.2 and an ELAC Center Channel. All the ELAC speakers are well constructed and have great tone, depth, and clarity. This sub melds perfectly with the system. As you have read there are no physical controls--the App does all the configuration and is simple to use and set up. So much depends on your room size and how your receiver sets up the system: I am using this system for movies and TV and driving the sub with a Denon AV Receiver in a 5.1 system. Comparing it to a previous sub (A/B comparison in the same room: Polk 125), the ELAC has a better handling of sound...just not as harsh as the Polk but definitely adds to the other speakers without being a standout sound...blending the low sounds...better roll off. In another room with a surround system is a Klipsch 10 sub...the ELAC handles bass better as the Klipsch is boom boom sound and does not blend. Build quality is very good and the ELAC App configures your sub no matter where it is placed.

I have a pair of Yamaha 3 way bookshelf speakers, which really never had enough low end. This sounds great with music and especially when watching movies, literally vibrates the floor at times.

Bought this sub to replace my Polk. Wow, what great range. Hearing lows on movies I didn't experience before. Hits hard and crisp when listening to music too. We have a large family room with high ceilings and this fills the room with depth and punch. I would recommend this sub. 2 thumbs up to B&H for fast processing and shipment. I have a new favorite electronics store.
