Electric Heated Towel Rail

Sadly this item cannot be used since bathroombpowerpoints are above knee height and the cord is not long enough to reach! The instructions say it cannot be used with an extension cord but there was no length given for the supplied cord or I would not have bothered. Very unhappy.

Lightweight but sturdy enough. The screw holes at the bottom for the legs were too small to even forcibly screw the screws in. They had to be enlarged first. The electrical cord was too short. It wouldn't reach the socket which was chest height and the sink was in the way. I had to use an extension cord, which makes it less safe in a wet area.The heater bars were not hot (can comfortably hold them with hands) which means that the towel does not heat up enough - only takes the chill off it. Maybe a panel rather than bars may work better.

Purchased online and it arrived within a few days of ordering. Like the concept of the rails with the top heated shelf ( a previous review stated the shelf didn’t heat up but think they may not have connected it properly).Though love the style the shelf may restrict placement in a small bathroom/ensuite. And also the electric cable is not long enough and the installation advice discourages lead extension, so placing near a socket is a most. We have to get a new socket installed to accommodate our finally, decided placement before we can use. But outside of all that. happy with purchase.

Cheap Electric Towel Rail

This electric Heated Towel Rail was very light weight, and also had a very short cord to plug it into the wall socket. This made it very difficult to put it into a good position in my bathroom so I had to use an extension cord. Because it is so light weight it is easy to knock over, plus having to use an extrension cord, makes a safety issue as the cord has to travel across the bathroom.

Exactly what I needed, for a decent price.

I purchased this for our en-suite, to deal with damp towels and (hopefully) to reduce some moisture and damp.So far it's done all of this, and as a bonus my towel is nice and warm when I get out of the shower. :)Being cautious, I also tested it with a multimeter to make sure it was correctly earthed all over; a concern I had when mixing metal + electricity + water. It seems to tick the safety boxes.Am considering purchasing a second for the other bathroom.

Fast warm up - bit too small

Power cord is way too short to reach any powerpoint. Whole stand is too short to put any more than 2 towels on it as they end up on the ground. The photo in the advertisement is deceiving as they've used a very small towel. Not wide enough for any decent bath towels either as they have to be folded meaning they don't dry fully unless on for a decent amount of time. It does heat quickly though and makes the middle of the towel warm. Ours stopped working though exactly 1 year to the day we purchased it. Cheaper than others on the market but probably wouldn't buy it again.

Good value

It certainly does it's job. Warms really well, a little bit on the flimsy side, but overall its stable. The power chord is short, as per the other comments, so limits where you can put it. But for the price, it does its job efficiently.

Great item

Really happy with this item. It works perfectly to dry towels and Im really glad I bought it. Size is good and its easy to move if needed. We also got a power plug with a timer function so we can set and forgot leaving towels to dry and then switch the towel rail off.

Happy Morning Showers

After moving to Tasmania I quuckly discoverd the discomfort of going from a hot shower to a cold damp towel.I ordered the Heated Towel Rail from Myer and it promply arrived 3 days later.Easy minimal assembly and a few drill holes later I turned it on.Everybody deserves a warm dry towel along with a healthier dry material.Warm shower to warm towel. Tasmania do your worst

I bought this product due to my towel not drying properly in my unit en-suite bathroom. It was easier to get a free standing one than to have a wall mounted rack installed. Here's what I like about the Freestanding Devanti Electric Heated Towel Rail Rack - - The size is perfect for my small en-suite bathroom - I'm happy with the quality. It looks good and is sturdy. Here's what I'm disappointed about - - It doesn't dry my towel well enough. I don't have big, heavy towels. My bath towels are regular size and light. The rack definitely heats up and is very hot to touch, but I literally have to wrap my towel through each of the rungs to get any kind of benefit. It heats up quickly, but again, it doesn't really achieve what I was looking for... to simply throw one towel over it to dry after a shower in a reasonable amount of time. The instructions state that it isn't to be used with an extension cord and to not place the rack directly under a power point. I agree with not placing the unit under a power point, but otherwise it's pretty much impossible to use without an extension cord.
