Electrolux EWF7524D3WB 7.5kg Front Load Washing Machine

So far very happy with the product. It has a number of different programs, much better than the old one. Even though the cotton program seems to be excessively long, it actually goes for less than specified time. There are also three short programs, 1h, 40min and 15min. My wife is very excited about these quick washing cycles. I had Electrolux washing machine before and it lasted for almost 17 years, so very happy with the brand.

Great choice

This washing machine is a vast improvement on my last one which frequently left horrible brown streaks on the laundry and required a lot of between wash cleaning. There are lots of different wash settings, it is relatively quiet and a good size to fit into our small laundry, while also big enough to take a full load of laundry for a 4 person household

Great machine

Ive been pleasantly surprised with this washing machine. It is a replacement for a trusted LG model of 14 years. Its operation is so much quieter, it has a pause function for adding missed items and a great selection of cycles. My only negative is that it doesnt have an equivalent hand wash cycle like my old LG. Very happy otherwise and no regrets.

Great washer

Ive just replaced my 16yr old Electrolux with this new model. Im really loving the different cycle options, gives me much more variety which is great. The machine is reasonably quiet and the screen options are very easy to get used to. Clothes are coming out very clean, I love the 15min cycle for quick washes. For those who dont need a big washer this one is ideal. Highly recommend.

Important instruction

A good machine, not overly expensive and very quiet. However, in section 4 of the instructions manual (Before First Use) it omits an important step. The machine will not start unless the spin function is turned off.

New Elux

Had bought this model to replace a similar model we have been using for the past 16 years which started to develop loud noises, thought still functioning. However, the new one is as noisy as the old one, even though it is only weeks old. The installer did not check the level of the machine when it was delivered, only adjusted the legs to correct for the uneveness of the floor. Is the noise due to poor leveling or design/quality of the machine Will this new machine last as long as its predecessor

I wanted to write a detailed review because there are no reviews yet. Its a new release. Its only been a couple of days since I have had this but so far so good. The price is about mid point and the quality is quite good. It has a good range of wash settings and has pre set times. I don't have to stand there and wait for it to think to show washing time. It is also a very quiet machine and easy to use. At the end of the cycle it will play a beeping tune 6 times while showing the word End on the display. After a couple of minutes it will go off then start/pause light will flash. The only problem is the 3 transportation bolts at the rear of the machine that MUST be removed before use. See the photo. The top one was very difficult to remove and is a different design to the other 2 bolts. It is in 2 sections and need a lot of force to remove. Once removed the inside bit (brown section) will pop off and fall inside the machine. Luckily the bottom of the machine is open. So just tilt the machine carefully and you will find it on the floor. Otherwise I am happy with it.

So far, so good

I've only had this a few weeks but am happy so far. Seems to be cleaning clothes well. My old Bosch died and I replaced it with this, as it seem comparable but a bit cheaper and well regarded. I'm really only using the 1-hour cycle I used to only wash on cold but this machine has a minimum 30 degree setting for the 1-hour wash, which is a bit annoying. I've been reducing the spin from 1200rpm to 800rpm because it feels like the machine's about to take off on the faster spin.

Wish I'd checked it more thoroughly before buying.

Thought it had wash programs that I wanted. Discovered that the quick wash and 60 minute wash require hot water. Also discovered that door can not be opened if you want to add an item during a wash. Thought it would be similar to the Electrolux machine I was replacing.

electrolux 75kg ultra 300 - watchout belt fell off on 2 of these EWF7524D3WB machines both went thru the before use cycle both stopped spinning kept telling us it was overloaded then tell us it was unbalanced Repairmen kept telling us it was "user error" In IT we use "user error" as a joke. Meaning the developer and support personnel are too lazy to do their jobs well. salesmen job is just the middle man. No responsibility for inferior machines. returned items are good sale for them because people will upgrade. Which both electrolux and harveynorman are OK with.
