The Stream Deck Plus is a fabulous addition to my collection of Stream Decks. While it was already possible to do up/down control of volume (and other things) on a pair of regular Stream Deck buttons (by repeated presses of an up or down button), the Stream Deck Plus puts this control on to a convenient dial so with a familiar spin of a knob, I can adjust analogue things very simply. I also love the way the touch display allows me to swipe to another page of buttons/dials. I can program the far left page (for example) to have buttons that load a different profile. The buttons are bigger than on a button-only Stream Deck, and spaced further apart -- I would have liked the horizontal buttonspacing (about 12mm apart) to be the same as the vertical spacing (about 5mm) ... MoreThe Stream Deck Plus is a fabulous addition to my collection of Stream Decks. The Plus has the same pitch as the Stream Deck XL on its stand, so I can have the two devices right next to each other with a common angle to the control surface, but in reality I position each device on opposite sides of my keyboard -- still working out which locations I prefer for different applications.I would recommend Stream Decks for everyone. It's the kind of device that works best when you use it continually and operation becomes second nature. I've used one for occasions where I was doing dozens of identical operations on a picture and then saving that version of the picture with a different filename; I worked out all the keyboard keystrokes that I needed, ending with an [Alt-F]+[a] to initiate a "File Save As..." and then performing cursor keys to go to specific parts of the file name to replace with new letters identifying how the content was different -- all with just one press of a Stream Deck button. It's a great tool, especially when combined with a great imagination.

I bought the stream deck for streaming, but now I use it for so many things! I can change my tunes, play soundboard laugh tracks on Discord, send out tweets automatically more. The software is also really easy to use, which I appreciate. Bring your own sounds or browse the library for music and effects. The build is also quality - I don’t feel like it will break! And the size is perfect because you can scroll across multiple pages, so you aren’t limited to just 15 options. Overall, LOVE.

I'm a big fan of the original Stream Deck and I'm not even a streamer -- it's just a very versatile tool for everyday PC use, so I was excited to get my hands on the Stream Deck+. Unfortunately, the product has been a letdown because it often just stops working for no apparent reason. The apps I've assigned to my dials to adjust their volume on the fly work sometimes, but they're often just greyed out and completely unresponsive to any input, and then later they just start functioning again. The buttons themselves generally seem to work, but the majority of issues I'm having with the Stream Deck+ are related to the dials and automated volume controls. It's a software problem not a hardware problem, so I'm hoping over time with firmware updates and other software ... MoreI'm a big fan of the original Stream Deck and I'm not even a streamer -- it's just a very versatile tool for everyday PC use, so I was excited to get my hands on the Stream Deck+. It's a software problem not a hardware problem, so I'm hoping over time with firmware updates and other software updates it'll become more reliable. For now, I reckon you're better off buying a normal Stream Deck if you need this kind of product.May 2023 update: I wrote a mostly negative review for this product when I got it in January and I feel obligated to update it after some months of owning the product. The main benefit of the Stream Deck+ is the ability to use Elgato's Wave Link software, which you previously couldn't use unless you bought one of their microphones. I would say 100% of the problems I was having with this device were solved when I harnessed the power of Wave Link and started using that for all my audio input/output routing, instead of using built-in Windows utilities and other third-party software. The device is clearly designed to be used with Elgato's Wave Link software and works perfectly when used this way, with no random problems. I guess the value of this product for you depends on whether or not you're keen to commit to using their Wave Link software to manage the audio devices on your computer (and, to be fair, the software is fantastic -- I'll mention again that I'm not a streamer, but I've found it added a lot of quality of life improvements to my audio setup because I simultaneously use a lot of different audio hardware on my PC since I dabble with some music stuff as a hobby and do a lot of WFH as well, which means juggling different microphones/headsets, sharing PC audio in meetings, etc., and Wave Link is brilliant at handling this). If you hate Wave Link and you are sworn against using it, then my original January 2023 review still stands, but if you're keen to give Wave Link a swirl, you will absolutely love this Stream Deck + as much as I've learned to love it over the past few months. Changing my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars!

Fun product with some issues and quirks

The Stream Deck is a fun and nice looking piece of kit that can be useful in various situations and activities. Like wheel scrolling, which is useful in many context, for instance in games there are certain actions where a rotating input is perfect and usually these actions are bound to the mouse wheel, meaning you cannot bind that action to the turning knobs, unless you go to each games and bind a Keyboard key to it .There are also some weird behaviors with the software, the image/icon caching of the buttons doesn't seem to work flawlessly, the stream deck some times loses the image of the button, so I go to the software configurator of the button and as soon as I go to the button the image loads automatically without me doing anything. Finally a wireless dongle connection option would have been a great addition, to avoid having additional cables on your desk but also giving you the flexibility to place your stream deck wherever you need it.

Good, but not perfect

Like other Stream Deck products, the quality is really good. It feels well put together and solid. The four knobs (and their associated screen) give you great control over things like sound. Each knob can control multiple actions, and you can easily switch between them by pressing the knob. The 8 "typical" stream deck buttons on top are exactly the same as on other stream decks. They're good - BUT !!! - for the price of this device, there should be at least 10 buttons. Also, the vertical spacing between the buttons tells me that there was supposed to be 2 more buttons there, but some middle-manager decided to cut cost... I mean, seriously Elgato (Corsair)? Come to think of it, it wouldn't look too bad on it's own.Elgato Stream Deck software is pretty decent and easy to use... but they did change some things in it, so some older plugins might start misbehaving. Unfortunately, you can't use older versions, since the Stream Deck Plus needs the latest one for the knob support. All in all, a good product. A bit pricey, but that's what you get when there's only limited competition.

It's good.....but
24 June 2024

If you have one of Elgato's other Streamdeck products, the buttons on the + are larger and so the whole unit might be bigger than you were expecting. Watch out for slippery surfaces, with the control panel at the fixed angle, if you stab at a button you could push the unit across the tableNot all profiles and plugins make use of the dials. I feel this is still a work in progress. MIDI users will be happy as there is a plugin that converts rotary motion to CC controls. If you have an intended purpose for this, it's great. If you just think it would be a good thing to have, be careful, it might not do what you want.

Elgato has done it again, they've filled the gap in the market with the sleekest solution. I bought this on a hunch that with the new rotary dials, it might be just the thing to use with XPlane for autopilot/flight director controls. I use it on a Mac.And it turns out it works like an absolute charm. The associated app is totally intuitive (I dowloaded it before buying the SD+ to get a feel for it, and already I was impressed it's really straightforward!) The ability to even create button backgrounds using a nifty little online tool, the possibility of creating multiple profiles... and so, so easy. I already expect that I will be able to use it with Xcode as well to simplify work with that. It's just pure, hassle-free magic, and an outstanding example of "it just works".Can't say enough good things about this, and it's only been a couple of hours. ... MoreI bought this on a hunch that with the new rotary dials, it might be just the thing to use with XPlane for autopilot/flight director controls. regret purchasing

I treated myself to the Elgato Stream Deck after making affiliate on Twitch. I was excited because I thought it was going to make my life so much easier. In reality, it's so annoying and most of the time is an expensive paperweight taking up space on my desk.Nothing stays consistently connected, not the apps (neither native elgato apps or externally developed apps) and, more befuddlingly, not my Elgato Key Light. In other words, the buttons/dials that are supposed to control certain apps or the key light don't respond, so I have to 1) forego whatever app I spent time downloading and setting up, and 2) manually control the key light through their jenky desktop app. I bought both elgato key light and the stream deck because I was SURE those two things would stay ... MoreI treated myself to the Elgato Stream Deck after making affiliate on Twitch. I bought both elgato key light and the stream deck because I was SURE those two things would stay connected, *because they both come from elgato* and I cannot imagine they would release products that weren't unerringly reliable. What's worse is that sometimes it'll work and sometimes it won't, so the thing is *also* getting my hopes up and then breaking my heart, over and over again, because, like a sucker, I haven't given up on it yet and keep thinking "I can change him!"I've done everything that Elgato and the internet more broadly suggest as fixes and nothing has worked. I would return it if I could (or maybe I wouldn't, because I am still foolishly holding out hope). Either way, I regret purchasing it. Maybe the non-dial version is more reliable, but my experience with this particular product has been awful.
