Absolutely LOVE the audio control I have with the WaveXLR! I can completely control all audio in my headset and to my stream separately. The virtual inputs let me separate in-game voice chat, Discord, music, and others. It’s amazing, especially for the price! You can add plug-in mic EQ (a separate plug-in for free) and make almost any XLR mix sound amazing! Also add compression plug-ins to stop background noise. Hands down one of the best peripheral devices I have in my streaming setup! There is a bit of a learning curve setting up the plug-ins, but there are amazing YouTube videos to help!

Great concept. Terrible execution. If you have multiple users on your PC and switch between users, THIS WILL NOT WORK. Coming from support, this is an unsupported use case and will duplicate all audio with a slight delay. All audio will sound like it has a robotic echo. You have to log the other user out (usually with a reboot and force log out unless you know their password) to get normal audio back. Support was well aware of this issue as soon as I contacted them, but said it is what it is because of how they intercept the audio. This seems unacceptable to not have called out in any documentation.I’ve already had one unit replaced because it kept failing to be recognized multiple times a day. I had to unplug and replug it to have it show up.This is a large ... MoreGreat concept. Terrible execution. If you have multiple users on your PC and switch between users, THIS WILL NOT WORK. I’d go with another product that fills this same niche instead of this product.

Great little XLR device without the big price. Elgato makes solid products and this is another one from them. Easy to use and set up, software is user friendly. Sounds good with my Shure microphone. Excellent choice for someone dipping their toes into the world of XLR mics. Just beware of the "mute" button on the top of the device. Easy to hit if you're moving it around, etc. Very nice to have a quick mute button tho.

I really have enjoyed using the Wave XLR. The dial on the front is easy to use and the capacitive touch-to-mute on the backside is reliable. I’ve had mine for a while now and I really don’t have anything else to say other than it’s good, like, REALLY good. The audio feed from the device is nice and clean, the cord to connect to the PC is a usb-c usb-a. Also, the cord is nice and long, pretty much guarantees you can place it anywhere on your desk. Now, where this device shines is the software. I know this interface is kind of pricey for only one XLR input, but the software alone makes up for it 2-fold.I still use this device every day, and it’s very likely I’ll still be using it 3 years from now.Disclaimer:This product only comes with the interface; you still need an XLR microphone and an XLR cord to make it work. Additionally, if you want to use this for your DAW (digital audio workstation), check for compatibility with your software (it’s very hit or miss).
I have to say I have not been that impressed by this device. I wanted to like it and it being made by Corsair by hopes were high considering other components made by them have served me well. However using this with a Shure SM7B proved to be problematic. To start off with you have to use their software. I ran into all kinds of oddities when I just tried to use it as a device without software support. Other issues I encountered were noisy pre-amps. With the Shure SM7B you need to have the volume up to around 70%. What then started to occur more frequently was noise being generated by the device not from the microphone or cable. Tinkering with the software sometimes reduced it but never removed it completely. In the end I had to send the device back. It just felt like the pre-amps were under too much strain and while there were many videos on YouTube stating this was a good interface to use with the SM7B it ultimately proved not to be the case.
Works better than other audio interfaces that I have tried. I've currently got it hooked up to a Cloud booster and a Shure Sm7b microphone as well as some Audio-Technica headphones. It is able to provide adequate power to the mic and to the headphones (the headphones I have are often underpowered when used with a standard headphone jack). The relationship between windows audio settings and the Wave XLR are a bit rough. I wanted to run it without downloading extra software. Doing so reset the volume, mic gain, and balance settings I used every time I restarted my PC. Even after downloading the software and playing with settings, it still never saves my mic input gain/volume properly and I have to manually adjust it with the dial. Pros- Device makes everything simplified through software only.-Great routing through easy User InterfaceCons- Software will crash randomly and all of your audio will stop- Bad Support, the company doesn't have solutions for the many bugs of the device and software.- You cannot get a best buy warranty for this device and it really needs itOverall while it does what it advertises, it does not do it consistently. There will be issues at random times. If you are using this for recording, content, or even basic calls. Then this will be a major inconvenience.
This product seemed like a fantastic inexpensive purchase. I must say that the product works great, however the software you have to download for it is buggy. The sounds get messed up. After a while my headphones started making a buzzing whenever I was set to any of the software’s outputs. Every time my computer turns on I have to reconfigure everything. Sometimes the software will just close without warning. Build quality is great and overall a great product, software just needs a lot of work.
There are a ton of ways to connect a mic to your pc.I have used different interfaces and different usb mics, a lot of them easier to set up.What makes this gem worth the price of admission is the software.Once installed, it's hard to compare it to anything like it because it stands in a league of it's own.Be aware that it can be a pain to set up.Especially if you don't know your way around a computer.Youtube helps.I almost returned it because I didn't know how to set up with a wireless headset as this has a 3.5mm jack behind the unit for hard wiring and i purchased an arctis 7 headset that i wanted to use.after a week of searching i finally found a youtube video showing how to set it up.Do your research before purchasing. All that aside, the ... MoreThere are a ton of ways to connect a mic to your pc.I have used different interfaces and different usb mics, a lot of them easier to set up.What makes this gem worth the price of admission is the software.Once installed, it's hard to compare it to anything like it because it stands in a league of it's own.Be aware that it can be a pain to set up.Especially if you don't know your way around a computer.Youtube helps.I almost returned it because I didn't know how to set up with a wireless headset as this has a 3.5mm jack behind the unit for hard wiring and i purchased an arctis 7 headset that i wanted to use.after a week of searching i finally found a youtube video showing how to set it up.Do your research before purchasing. All that aside, the software and plugins make this thing a bargain at the price.
- In the box: the Wave XLR, USB-C to USB-A cable, some documentation.- Lots of plastic, but solid build quality. There's no wobble to the unit no matter how hard you touch it. The gain control does tilt slightly - not an issue in day to day use.- Once you install the Wave Link software, you can adjust the gain and mute colors around the knob. The colour controls aren't entirely accurate; selecting yellow in the software, for example, gives you a dull white on the unit.- Wave Link installs multiple virtual audio cables for you to play with (think an easier version of VoiceMeeter), as well as a monitor mix and stream mix. So you could listen to copyrighted music or a risque video using one input, but withhold that in your stream output so your viewers don't hear ... More- In the box: the Wave XLR, USB-C to USB-A cable, some documentation.- Lots of plastic, but solid build quality. So you could listen to copyrighted music or a risque video using one input, but withhold that in your stream output so your viewers don't hear anything. You can choose to listen to your monitor mix or stream mix in realtime so you can make adjustments on the fly.- 75db is absurd overkill even for hard to drive dynamic microphones like the Shure SM7B. Seriously, this thing gets extremely loud if you max out the gain. You won't need a Fethead or Cloudlifter. If you are planning to use a dynamic mic, then it's potentially good value as an all-on-one unit.- Clipguard works as advertised - between this and the quality of the mic input, there's no audible distortion or clipping if you do raise your voice or get excited.- On the other hand, you only get one input. Other interfaces around this price (like the Motu M2 or Audient ID4 Mk2) come with both a mic input and line input, plus lower noise floors for condenser microphones. But then you forgo the software. Pick your poison.I paid £119.39 for my unit, which is good given the hardware, software, and my need to power a Rode Procaster. The price typically seems to fluctuate between £135 and £160 - the value proposition isn't there on the upper end of that spectrum, unless you're desperate for Elgato integration or you're willing to pay extra for something that doesn't blatantly look like an audio interface.
