From my experience (although I don't use it as some kind of -medium-" watering this glue is useable, especially for frame backing and other art studio uses.A lot cheaper that some other brands, just be certain PVA and the other ingredients are OK for your use.For Archival Use purchaser might want to check with restoration experts.

Although when wet or moist, it cleans-up with water, its application is permanent when dry. A thin coat dries clear; a thick heavy coat dries white. I have SUCCESSFULLY made jewelry to match outfits by using 100% cotton

This glue hold extra fine glitter very well. Wiped up well when I made mistakes. The only complaint I have is the tip when the glue comes out is too wide for letter making. But being it’s a big bottle, I get why it needs a wider tip.
I'm not sure what to say about Elmer's glue - the paste used (and consumed) around the country if not the world.My first project with this particular bottle of glue was making a paper mache sculpture. It makes a very good water to glue paper mache mix and I would no recommend another glue for that purpose. Things got interesting when I added an of brand bottle of glue into the mix as well. (Not so literally as mixing it into my paper mache business.) But this was a practical display that showed me all the ways Elmer's is superior to other brands.It mixes with water better, it is less runny, and it dries faster. It also just holds things together better. It's a good glue.It's Elmer's Glue.

I use this product for many types of projects. Holds well for assembling junk journals, adhering watercolor paper to cards, making cages (wrapping yarn dipped in a water/glue mixture around a balloon). Also wipes up easily and washes out of brushes.
I was surprised that this product is also good for gluing things onto fabric. It is and has always been my favorite glue. If necessary, I can put a small paint brush into the bottle and paint the decoration . It has been my favorite glue always. I am 87 and I can't recall how long I have been using Elmer's glue, but it has been probably since the 50's.
This mini Elmers Extra strong glue is very portable and doesn't take up a lot of space as it can fit inside your pocket or purse. also, it's able to get into small corners or edges of your project without spilling out big clumps of liquid. Perfect for on the go craft makers like me who picked up one of these cohesives to finish up a bday card on the way to a 16 year old bday party!
I used this on cardboard for an art project and it held up really well. I was skeptical about using Elmer's glue because I wasn't sure it would keep everything in place but I was pleasantly surprised. I also used an old brush to spread the glue around and coat a piece before sticking it together. I think that helped with having more surface area to stick to.
