I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Energizers are always my prime preference. I have many pieces of equipment that require batteries. Other major brands (except for Ray-O-Vac) have often leaked and damaged many items. I won't cite any brands, but the major culprit is Energizer's %231 competitor. When some expensive equipment was damaged and I called them they acted like they were doing me a favor. This happened quite frequently and I would never use that brand again even if it were free. Energizers also seem to last longer than other brands, especially is my flashlights and radios.

Last just as long as Duracell, but far less chance of leaks. Energizers have a thicker electrolyte paste, so if there is a leak it doesn't travel much. An easy test is to hammer a nail through each. Energizer paste stays inside. Duracell's paste oozes out. Duracells have a much more liquid paste, so when they leak they ooze out everywhere. The more fluid the paste, the more gets out in a leak, and ruins the electric contacts inside the device. All alkalines can incur some leaks, but I've had less with Energizer than Duracell.
