Despite their much higher cost, I started using Lithium batteries for things such as TV remotes, computer mice and a doorbell/camera. My motivation was the longer battery life. Although rechargeable Lithium batteries for cordless tools (drills, jig saws, etc.) have a good charge lifespan, regular Lithium batteries such as AA and AAA don’t seem to last any longer than regular batteries and I am no longer going to pay more for the same battery life.

This is one of those rare products where I really have no complaints. The Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries do so many things well that there really isn't anything else on the market to compare to. The capacity on these AAA's is about 1200mAh under typical loads, so you're getting the best battery life that this size has to offer. Unlike alkaline batteries, these will last at least 20 years in storage and they won't leak! I've basically stopped using alkaline batteries due to nasty leakage. Instead I either use Lithiums like these, Rechargeable Ni-Mh cells (such as Eneloop), or sometimes I use the really inexpensive Heavy Duty Zinc cells from Harbor Freight in really low drain devices like remote controls or clocks - in my experience these really don't leak ... MoreThis is one of those rare products where I really have no complaints. The other advantages of Energizer Lithium are; 1) Really lightweight - almost feels like there's no batteries in your device, 2) Instant high-amperage output capability if needed - much better than alkalines for digital cameras, flashes, or other high-drain devices, and 3) not only do they have a long shelf life but these will also work great in very cold temperatures. Excellent Batteries! Highly Recommended!!

Be warned Energizer batteries absolutely do NOT honor their warranty!! I threw away 8 batteries and told them as such, they asked for pictures, then more pictures, then more pictures, i sent 7 and they still asked for more. I told them I'm happy to send the bad batteries not throw away to them, just send me a prepaid sticker, UPS, FedEx, USPS either one, all they did was asked for more pictures. This is a joke to them. Stay away. I'm trying Amazon batteries, so far so good and much, much cheaper. Any class action attorneys? Contact me.

These lithium ion batteries are great. Ive been using this brand for several years now and havent experienced any leaks as with almost all other brands of batteries that arent lithium ion. Ive had several battery powered items ruined due to leakage and now I wont use any other types. Thanks
Lithium batteries have 4 big advantages for me. (1) They don't leak, ever. (2) They have the longest shelf life 20 years). (3) They work well in very cold weather. (4) In high drain devices, they outlast alkalines by a wide margin. So, if you keep an emergency flashlight in your car, (1) (2) and (3) say you should have lithiums (although, if you live in a warm climate and use the flashlight frequently enough to keep track of battery condition, alkalines may be as good). If you have an emergency flashlight in your house that you don't use often, then (1) and (2) would indicate lithiums are best. If you have a wall clock indoors, alkalines are cheapest. If you have an indoor flashlight that's frequently used, alkalines are cheapest (However, I put 3 AAA alkalines (AKA "alkaleaks") in a Maglite XL50 about 3 months ago, and last week it stopped working. The batteries leaked out overnight, and I spent 2 hours cleaning the flashlight up.) If you have a high drain device, like one of the $100 flashlights that puts out 1,300 lumens and draws 1 amp (a high drain device), you're better off with lithium. The way I explain it to my kid is "if you suck too much power at once out of an alkaline, the straw collapses and you can't suck anything else out. However, you can suck as much power out of a lithium as you want and the straw won't collapse." I try and explain it this way to an adult. Let's say you have 2 AA batteries, each of which has stored 3,000 mAh of power. If you put each of them in a wall clock that only draws 1 mAh per hour, each battery will run the clock for 3,000 hours (in other words, each battery will let you drain all 3,000 mAhs out of it, at a rate of 1 mAh per hour, which is a very slow drain rate). If you put those same batteries in a flashlight that draws 1 amp per hour (which is 1,000 mAh per hour), the lithium will run the flashlight at full power for 3 hours (1,000 mAhs X 3 hours = 3,000 total mAhs) and then die. You will get to use the full capacity of the lithium battery (3,000 total mAhs). The alkaline will start out giving 1,000 mAhs per hour, but it will decline rapidly. By hour 2, the alkaline will only be putting out 500 mAhs per hour, and it will be dead by hour 3, permanently dead. You will never get to use the full 3,000 mAh capacity in the alkaline. I hope this helps someone.
I found these batteries to be absolutely the very best batteries I have ever used. I conducted a 48-hour experiment using these batteries. With the help of a family member .
