Owned for at least a couple of years now so feel informed enough to pass judgement on this product.Can't recommend enough best esky I have owned at least as good or better than another well known brand which I own so I know how they compare in the real world only downside with any of the better eskies on the market is they can be a bit bulky and or a little smaller inside than some brands but they have to be because of the extra insulation in the walls of these products to keep things colder for longer so overall I'm more than happy with my purchase.

These are expensive! But you get what you pay for! Very high quality, holds ice for day in the tropical Darwin weather.

Our initial understanding of the 3-10 days ice retention was disappointing.We contacted Engel and they provided an informative instruction sheet of how to maximise the ice retention of which we are now aware.
ice doesn't last for 8 days. I used 1.25litre bottle block ice. I guess it works well for 1-3 days.
Good insulation - poor design, will not allow 1.25l bottles or 2lt milk jugs to stand upright.
