Oh my gosh...I just got this as a sample with my online order. Its been resonating for awhile now and Im just stunned at the level of sophistication in this scent. Each note gradually evolving into something gorgeous. Each base level with its own gentle intoxication. Its starts out with a sweet fruity lovely woodsy aroma. Then I was struck with the softly seductive middle notes. And ending with a dazzling complexity that melds notes reminiscent of a quiet but elegant setting filled with white flowers, and sparkling plums with champagne and flickering candlelight at dusk. Then add the wonderfully romantic scents of a warm summer breeze flowing from the woodlands... I had forgotten how lovely Yardley soap was. There are so many body washes now that we have lost the ritual involved when using a fine soap. I received Lavender which I am a fan of, was a tad overpowering when the box was first opened but then it settled into a beautiful light scent. Theres something very sensual about using soap. with wash we squirt, scrub away with a poof and rinse. With soap you have to be more in tune. Of course to avoid accidentally throwing it around in your shower but also to follow your movements and make sure you cover yourself to get clean. This soap has a nice creaminess, you can tell its moisturizing but it isnt slippery. Washes easily off, left my skin feeling soft and lightly scented.
