Got the sea foam blue, super nice light colour for summer. I like this better than my Baby Bjorn. It’s light weight, better snaps, has elastics for holding the extra length of strap so they don’t dangle. Has a sun hood that zips away. The padding is super thick on the shoulders and feels nice, Also! The lumbar support is excellent.

We bought this carrier for two big reasons. 1: I detest lugging around a car seat or maneuvering a stroller in public. 2: My husband and I are a tad paranoid about child-snatchers. When I bought it I figured I would be the one using it the most, but it ended up being my husband that primarily wears it (he thinks I'm too clutzy and is afraid I'll trip and fall while wearing her) and he really likes it. We bought the infant insertErgobaby Easy Snug Infant Insert Cool Mesh, Greyand began using it by the time she was a week or two old. I was a little worried that it would get harder to wear our daughter as she got bigger, but at this point she's 6 months and it's still great. Keep in mind that I am not strong in the slightest, so if I say it's easy to wear her then pretty much any healthy adult would find it easy. As long as you strap it on correctly it distributes the weight very nicely. Once I had the hip strap a little too high (more around my natural waist then down by my hips) and it made my lower back a little tired, but that's a simple user error.Pros:* Simple to put on after you've done it once* Versatile; I've used it (5'9'', 135lb), my husband uses it (6'3'', 215lb), and my aunt used it (she's about 5'5'') and we all liked it* It's easy to grab and bring somewhere with you, unlike a stroller/carseat/etc* Keeps your baby within reach at all times (eases the child-snatcher paranoia), and keeps strangers at the grocery store from touching your baby with their germ-y hands* She really likes being in it. When she was super young she would fall asleep almost immediately after we put her in, which made grocery shopping much easier. Now that she's older she really likes looking around, especially when my taller husband is using it.I read reviews talking about how the hip strap was really loud and I'd agree that it is fairly loud. It doesn't bother our daughter at all because we really only use it when we're out somewhere, not in the house, so we either undo the velcro outside where she's distracted by other sounds, or we put her wherever she needs to be and then take it off later. So yes, it is a little loud, but it doesn't cause us any problems. All in all this is one of my favorite things we bought off our baby list and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

I'll write a bit of a lengthy review so other mamas can get a better sense of how this worked for us. I have a Petunia Pickle Bottom organic original Ergo and this one, the new 4-position 360. I'll compare them briefly. First, a bit about my stature since this is a big consideration for baby-wearers. If your carrier is not ergonomically right for you, you'll find yourself hurting or just plain not using your carrier.I am 5' 2", 110 lb. and would consider myself a gal of ample bust so it was important to find a carrier that was comfortable in that way. The Ergo works beautifully for us so far. We've used it as a front (both directions) and side carry for shorter time periods (about 20-30 minutes at a time) and while little one doesn't like to be confined at this age, it seems to be comfortable for us both, with no fussing. I use this running errands, grocery shopping, shorter walks, restaurant outings, and day outings where baby can get out frequently. If you're an "active" mama, this carrier is great for around town but stick with a Kelty/Deuter/Osprey for hiking, etc.OVERALLI find this version, the ERGO 360, to be even better suited to my stature than my original. I'm short-waisted and the body height of the carrier is just right for me. Not too tall but still supportive of baby's head without being in her way to look at the world. The 'deep' pocket to accommodate baby's bottom is great for her positioning and really comfortable for us both, especially when nursing as it helps the carrier keep its shape better than the original. The velcro waistband is a plus in my experience, as it stays put and does not require constant re-cinching. The extra width is much more comfortable for me, too, since I'm slender and the old waistband sat right on my hip bones, causing soreness. I also find I have no lower back pain at all after using the 360, which is a huge difference from the original. The convenience, comfort for both mama and baby, proper baby positioning, and styling are great on the new 360 and I recommend it highly!VELCRO vs. CLIPSYes, the velcro is louder than the clips on the original Ergo. Yes, it does catch on fabric if you don't re-attach the velcro to itself when you take off the belt, but for me, the thickness and stability that the velcro provides at the waist are well worth taking an extra minute to avoid snags. It doesn't need to be constantly re-cinched and that's a big plus. If you put your little one down to sleep right out of the carrier, just leave the belt part on and undo it in another room. Noise problem solved. If you can't get your little one down without being right next to him, just leave the belt on while you snuggle up until you can sneak away. It's really pretty comfy.4-POSITION vs. ORIGINALWe love the variety of carries, and baby loves to face out to see the world. This was the biggest difference, of course. We tried a ring sling but for me, it was painful on my neck and shoulders no matter how I had it fitted, and a baby-wearing pro even helped me fit it properly. She said they're just not for everyone. The variety in positioning on the ERGO 360 gives both baby and mama a chance to rest certain muscles either from day to day or throughout the day if you absolutely have to carry for longer periods. The adjustable, wide base design is really great and the padding helps keep baby's legs comfortable. On my original, the fabric was not as "cushy" at the legs and caused baby's legs to have marks in very little time. In the 360, baby's legs are more comfortable. I also think the depth of the seat helps with this.HOODThe hood on the new version is just like the old version. Still easy to use. Difference is that this one tucks really easily into the foldover head support. Love that!SHOULDER STRAPSI am enjoying the new straps and like the adjustable center back strap design. My husband can wear this by easily sliding the center strap down the shoulder straps. The little elastics help take up the slack of the straps when I'm wearing them. I don't notice a big difference in comfort in comparison with my original ERGO.STORAGEI do miss the ease of the front pocket, but have used the hood pocket to carry my ID, a card and house key. It works well for me as long as we don't need to use the hood.DROOL PADSThe drool pads are too expensive, IMHO. My old ones only cover the straps but on this version, little one chews the front fold-over. Soon I'm sure some clever Etsy ladies will be selling all kinds of fun patterns. Right now there are only a few out there and I plan to sew my own:-)FABRICI find the fabric weight on this version to be just right. In weather above 85/90 degrees, it will be too warm for longer walks, but it's really pretty comfortable and soft right out of the box.

I have been using an Ergo since week 1 with my daughter. I started with the older model and as soon as I heard about the 360 I was on that! This was a better buy than our crib, literally. I have back issues and knee problems and even though my daughter is now about 22lbs I can still comfortably carry her in this for long periods of time. This is a must buy for people who live in cities and also a great way to get chores done with a fussy infant. Up until about 9 months, if my daughter was irritable, I would pop her in the ergo and she would fall asleep next to me while I did laundry, cooked, etc. It is really comfortable and my husband likes it too. Since about 5 months my daughter LOVES the front carry position, but at that time Ergo didn't make a front carry model. So we bought a cheap front carry carrier. It was soooo uncomfortable and much more confusing to use. If you are confused about how to use the ergo, they make some great youtube videos showing each position with a live baby. My daughter is now 16 months and a little small for her age, so I'm sure we will be able to back carry until she is 3 years old at least. I don't have 2 kids yet, but I have friends with 2 and they say that having the ergo for the youngest while flying is very helpful. I traveled alone with my daughter at 7 months and opted for no stroller, just the ergo in the airport. Great idea, it was much easier! Also as a note, I found this as a great way to help bond with my daughter. I couldn't breast feed much so I was really worried about how I would get such a strong bond with her. I really think the skin to skin contact helped with that and personally think this helped me avoid any depression issues. That's just my experience, but if you are concerned about bonding, I say get a carrier for a safe, and helpful way to bond with your baby.

It held great through many many washes and is now being used by a third baby (our friend’s) and still looks brand new. It is a great investment. Especially with multiple children. And it lasts so long that I can definitely say it has resale value. It’s definitely one of the pricier options out there but so worth it. I got my money’s worth with how much I used it and how much my friend uses it. Do yourself a favor and get one of these. You won’t regret it

I did NOT want a carrier. Then I did extensive research and landed on this carrier. It is everything I wanted in a carrier! It *easily* switches sizes between my XL husband and I (XS).Inward front carry is by far my fave, but my husband has used it outward facing and in the back carry. The back carry is amazing for hikes and doesn’t require that we have a hike-specific carrier. This does it all. It fits our 25lbs 8 month old, and supports us while wearing them. It supports my bad back and evenly distributes their weight. I tried and could not tighten it enough to feel confident that my baby was as secure as they are in the front carry position. And I wish that the arm straps were shorter, as they feel like they have a lot of slack in them.Overall, this is an amazing carrier, meets my needs, and bonus points for being mesh without the extra cost as other mesh carriers on offer.

Disappointing
30 September 2021

Very disappointed with this carrier. It is very uncomfortable and almost impossible to put on and off by myself. The straps don’t cross like the earlier models, so it’s just much too be for someone with my frame. It pulls ok my neck the whole time because I have to have the joining strap attached that high in order to be able to reach it myself (with baby in the carrier of course). My husband finds it reasonably comfortable to wear as he’s much broader (which is why I’m giving it two stars), but still finds it extremely hard to put on and off independently. It also doesn’t support baby’s head as the fabric is too floppy and loose. So when he falls asleep, I have to use one hand/arm to hold his head the whole time. Again, I’ve seen friends with earlier models where ... MoreVery disappointed with this carrier. The YouTube videos on the subject are testament to how Useless the actual ergo ones are.I emailed for help/a refund but got nowhere. I don’t have the fight in me to take it any further.Massively disappointed in what is supposed to be a premium brand product.

I thought it would be more

There really is not much to this hunk of fabric. It probably uses $5, maybe $10, worth of material and the rest is just a huge markup because it is a baby product. The instructions seem to be all over the place as they jumble up all the different ways to wear it in each step. I guess they realized they did not do a good job on the instructions because they also include a separate piece of paper telling you to go watch a video on using the product and fitting it to yourself. What I found frightening is that your baby can fall out of the bottom of it! There literally is NOTHING holding your baby in besides a tiny, somewhat bucket seat like, type of area that they sit in... I think. I'm still trying to figure it all out because there are a lot of settings to it that ... MoreThere really is not much to this hunk of fabric. There literally is NOTHING holding your baby in besides a tiny, somewhat bucket seat like, type of area that they sit in... I think. I'm still trying to figure it all out because there are a lot of settings to it that have to be set a certain way for 0 months, -3 months, -9 months, under 7 pounds, over 7 pounds, under 13 pounds, rear facing, forward facing and so on and so on. NOTHING on the actual piece of fabric tells you what to set where for each size and/or weight.. You HAVE TO USE the big 2'x3' page of instructions to figure that part out and then memorize it. I feel like this is another over engineered product that tries to do too much and only gets 5 star reviews from people given a deep discount. I hope you love picture instructions because that is what you get... a bunch of pictures with green checks and red X's. I am disappointed in the price of this thing because it is only about $5-$10 worth of material at best. I should have known better when I saw people leaving 5 star reviews just based off the COLOR of the product....We purchased TWO Omni 360 carriers. The wife's came with the sun shade sewn in backwards(inside out), leaving an Ergobaby tag to rub on baby's head and irritate it, thus making it impossible to use without causing harm to our baby. I am hoping that we just received a bad batch or something.

Probably not for anyone over approx 5'6" or 180lbs

Fairly solidly made but not particularly well designed. There's no way to adjust for torso length and the one-size-fits-all approach creates a really disappointing product. I'm 5'9 1/2", not a particularly tall guy, and have to have the "hip" belt way up around my mid section to keep my baby at the recommended carry height. It just slides down as we walk since there is no hip supporting it and also keeps the carrier from distributing the baby's weight well. The padded section of the straps is also very short. I get it. This product was probably designed mostly with women in mind. This product was probably designed mostly with women in mind. I have broader shoulders and some muscle and the padded section of the straps only goes an inch or two down my back, leaving only the webbing for back straps, neither comfortable nor particularly secure. The straps that adjust the length of the shoulder belt are also the only straps that adjust tightness on baby. Basically I have to cinch the hip belt as tight as possible around the bottom of my rib cage for proper ride height and then cinch the shoulder belts only as tight as I dare, being mindful not to draw them too tightly for baby, and then just sort of keep hitching my son up as we walk. I'd bought the harness in hopes of also using it for light, low impact activity like snow shoeing and cross country skiing, but that is totally out of the question. I was also very disappointed to find out shipping on returns was at the buyer's expense. That's not particularly indicative of a company that stands by its products. Bottom line is this could have been a solid carrier with another piece of fabric between baby and adult with baby security adjustment straps separate from the shoulder adjustment height straps and a simple Velcro-closing height adjustment strip for the hip belt. Without those, it's really just not appropriately constructed for men, taller women, anybody with a little more body mass, etc. Construction is sturdy, hence 2 stars instead of 1.

Using the carrier from new baby to toddler
11 July 2024

We have used this carrier with my son and now my daughter. I like that you can face baby in so many directions and seems to be pretty comfortable for both parent and baby. My daughter is now 5 months and the facing out direction is finally a bit more comfortable because her face isn’t up against the carrier anymore, she didn’t really like facing in earlier on. I now also use this on the trail for my 2.5 year old son if he decides he doesn’t want to hike or ride his bike it’s easy to clip him onto my back. We are both pretty comfortable with this set up, and this carrier is a lot easier to pack than my giant hiking pack- especially if he decides he just wants to walk/hike most the time.
