I was so impressed with the coziness and quality of the ergopouch, however, it is too tight around my 8 week-old baby’s neck when zipped up all the way. I have the 3-6 month size and am not able to close the pouch all the way without worrying it will restrict his airway. The material is not stretchy and doesn’t give any extra room around his neck. Leaving it slightly unzipped at the top makes it too easy for him to unzip and unswaddle it himself. I am very disappointed since everything else about the ergopouch is perfect.

I tried various swaddles for my baby (receiving blanket, velcro swaddle, the stretchy swaddle that makes the baby look like a starfish). This pouch has, by far, been my favorite. The materials are high quality, warm, and cozy. The fabric is cute, and it's really easy to put on and take off. Love the two-way zipper. I also love that I could take my babies arms out of the pouch once she got old enough to roll over in her sleep, so it has great versality. Just be sure not to stick it in the dryer like I did (oops). Doing this shrunk my pouch by a good 1-1.5 inches in width and length.I love this pouch and would highly recommend it!

When using the white noise machine in a completely silent room, I have found that the white noise option has a couple of 'beeps' that repeat every 6 to 10 seconds, and the fan sound option has a telephone ring sound which repeats every 10 or so seconds. Like I said, the you can only hear these noises in a dead silent room, and only just, as they are very very faint. And it may take a minute or so to actually notice them. But these noises are in the background of the white noise and fan option which is annoying. So I had to listen to the beach sound instead. So I am a bit dissappint about this. My one gripe is that the pointed end of the zip sometimes spikes baby upwards into his neck, because the flap that protects baby's neck from the zip often gets rubbed to the side to expose the zip by baby moving his head. I do wonder whether, if the zip pushed into a baby's artery, it could kill them due to stopping oxygen to the brain (it only takes seconds to lose consciousness if the artery gets squashed - I have had it happen to me when put in a headlock by a friend once), so this design flaw unnerves me and means I am always checking the flap and moving it back over the zip whenever he is being spiked in the neck by the upturned zip. I recommend these to everyone! My newborn (now 3 months old) wouldn’t sleep in anything else but these. He hated the love to dream swaddles as he constantly hit himself in the face with his arms up by his side but the ergo pouch swaddles were an absolute lifesaver. He knows they are for sleep time and sleeps so well in them. We often find his hands end up on his chest rather than by his side but it’s good that he has the option to move them rather than just being up by his face like the LTD swaddles. The ergo pouches aren’t cheap but they are definitely value for money. I’ve just bought the next size up ready for spring. Material is so lovely and soft and breathable with the weather warming up. Love love love them!

He will fight this sleep sack but is quicker to fall asleep either on his own or being rocked. We love that it’s thicker as we live in upstate NY in an older home and it’s winter right now…I also love the arm snaps that will allow us to transition him to a regular sleep sack with the straight jacket…I mean cocoon option. The only thing I don’t love is the surging on the inner zipper protection part is uneven and the zipper has gotten stuck in 2 different places several times. Loved our swaddle bag! The material was comfy for our bub, which helped snuggling her into bed. The long zip Is such a game changer too- we can just pop her onto it open and zip up. The transitional arm holes were so handy to transition our baby's arms out as well.Our baby really enjoys the roominess of the bag so she can kick and fuss in her sleep with little restrictions.I found the what to wear guide a massive help in selecting the right togs as well, it worked perfectly with this bag too.
The idea overall is a good one, but it was not compatible with my very active 3 month old. The material is nice and breathable, I liked the double zipper and side arm pockets. It just wasn't secure enough to help my baby sleep and stay asleep when he would startle himself awake. The arms area was flexible enough when his arms would move and he was able to touch his face, and move around more which caused him to wake up more after he would startle. The lower feet area was wide enough for comfort but gave more room for him to kick during sleep which woke him up more.If you have a calm sleeping baby, who doesn't move much while they sleep, the product should work nicely.
This came at the perfect timing! My 4 month old son has never slept better! I bought one of the expensive, well known swaddle for him but he didn't like it as it was too tight around the waist but this sleeping bag, he loves it! It's so soft and cozy. Before, he would take around 15 mins to fall asleep but I swear with this, he falls asleep in 5 mins, almost immediately sometimes. He's sleeping longer in this than he would before with his arms up. He started rolling from back to tummy and I love how easy it is to transition his arms out, one at a time, with the convenient poppers. Overall, best decision I've made. He's sleeping more = we're sleeping more! So thankful! I'm buying a second one so I can alternate washing.
First night in and I have to say this is what I have been looking dor. The material is soft and stretchy. Breathable but warm. Just like those amazing rayon/elastic swaddle blankets we all love because they hold the baby in place. Snaps for the option to have arms in or out. Which is awesome. Its snug in all the right places when her arms are in, and her hips have plenty of room. I was iffy about the neck hole being tight or too loose, it looks spot on. Easy diaper access and the safety is great for my little escape artist. She is 3 months and 13 lbs, the 3-12 is perfect!
