I was nervous about the transition from swaddle to pouch, but didn’t need to be! Our 4-month-old took a couple of naps to get used to being able to move his arms (in a limited way) and within a couple of days was happily sleeping with it with his arms tucked into the ‘wings’ and his hands by his face. We started with the snug fit then moved to the looser fit. Because he can still reach his face and rub his eyes or suck on his hands, I am confident about having his arms out, which we will try very soon.

We bought this product for my girls to learn to unswaddle. The concept to use it for transitioning is brilliant and the fabric used is soft and comfortable. However it has a lot of give in the sleeves so my girls can nearly get their hands out in the first phase and gives them a wide range of movement. Going to have to not adopt the instructions given with this product to transition but adapt them, adding more steps to prolong the transitional process.

Great product! Has really added value to the cocoon swaddled and sleeping bags I already have. My 3 month old will transition to arms out in the next few weeks so this item will really prove it’s worth then. Very happy will all my ErgoPouch products.

I had a baby with purple crying that Screamed 7 hours a day and this is the only tool that helped him stay asleep . If your looking for arms out transition solution make sure you order 10 of these! Will recommend it to everyone I know with a baby
I was really hopeful this would make a significant difference during the transition to sleeping with arms out but it actually caused more stress. Our little guy didn't mind it but it didn't seem to improve his sleep at all. The stressful part was that we would wake up to find that the bottom of it had ridden up and the material was up around his neck. I'd understand if this was a one off kind of situation but it happened relatively consistently.
After many failed attempts and sleepless nights trying to transition to arms out sleeping we decided to try this cardi. It’s been an absolute lifesaver! We followed the instructions given and after 10days of gradual transitioning my baby is sleeping with arms out. No sleepless nights and no issues. Can’t recommend this product enough.
The perfect transitional tool for out little one as she made the transition out of her traditional muslin wrap. She still had some of her newborn startle reflex so this was perfect. We could also put her arms back in if she woke up in the middle of her naps and needed some more comfort. The only downside was that the fabric at the hands is quite thick do with all her munching, the fabric was very wet and did not dry easily. A more breathable fabric would be better.
The product itself is the usual great quality. However, there is only one size, and it was too small for our baby. As soon as we put it on she hated it.She was transitioning when the weather wasn’t too cold, therefore it would have been fine, but had it been winter I would have been worried she was too cold.We did use the arm warmers instead, which are great and probably did help, as she still had something on her arms. However I doubt this would have been an option in summer.
Purchased for my 4.5 month old to transition out of the LTD swaddles (purchased when he was 3.5 mo) Whilst we haven’t fully progressed to night time with an arm out, we are doing an arm out during day naps and it’s going well! The first couple of times he woke up crying within 20 mins but now he is doing a full sleep cycle with an arm out and is waking happy. My son isn’t quiiiite rolling so we are lucky to do a slow transition which he is taking well! I like that you can choose how tight you clip the cardigan so you can manage the startle reflex. We started out clipped as tight as possible and now have it on the least restrictive. With one arm out, he pretty much appears to have his arms stretched out fully. I feel much more confident putting his arms out at night ... MorePurchased for my 4.5 month old to transition out of the LTD swaddles (purchased when he was 3.5 mo) Whilst we haven’t fully progressed to night time with an arm out, we are doing an arm out during day naps and it’s going well! Works well for my bub who has out grown the newborn swaddles but still needs hands tucked in. Fits nicely under or over a thicker sleeping bag. Unfortunately one of the press studs has made a little hole in the material even though she has only worn it for a week. Obviously stretchy but not quite enough. She is only just going into 00 sizing
