Nice starter kit/1st Aid. I would however have expected a set of Feeler gauges. Also, Sweetwater's own 'How to set up your bass' page also pictures some other items (fretboard ratio curves?); but I wouldn't necessarily expect these in '1st aid kit', but probably expected in a 'tool kit'.

There seems to be a tool for everything and they all seem to be very nice quality! The price was also great! Now my husband can do all of the simple repairs to his guitar that he needs from home!

This is a good basic tool set for a guitar with most of the commonly used tools you'll need for repairs, string changes, cleaning and minor modifications. The quality of the tools is much better than those found on the guitar multi-tools on the market today. It's just a shame the old original "Guit-tool" isn't still in production. Since it isn't, this is the best thing on the market.

This is a good basic tool set for someone wanting to do guitar maintenance themselves. It's comes with a nice, sturdy case. Some of the items I could do without...the wipes and string wonder, sine I already own cleaning sprays, polish, and cleaning cloths. I like all the hex wrenches, but wish they came in a multi-tool. The screwdriver with bits is convenient and has multiple attachment bits. The cutter is nice and sturdy, but could be smaller. For the price, I'd buy again.
Finally used this to sharpen the looks and condition of my acoustic. The neck and fretboard feels amazing after using the product. Wish they sold more than just one packet of each. Also a bit pricey.
This is the first set of (guitar) tools I've owned; always just used whatever I had around in the garage. This set comes in a great zippered case. It has everything you need in it from nice quality dikes to cut strings, to various cleaning cloths, to all the hex head and small screwdrivers, etc that you need to work on your guitar. It's great. Wish I'd had this years ago! The wire cutters are of good quality, they work like a champ! Good Buy!!!

After it arrived I realized why it was such a deal.Pros- the Ruler - small and good for measuring anything under 6"- Carry case seems well madeNeutral- String winder is small and seems to work ok. Similar to many other basic winders you'd find out there- Hex wrench variety (13 different sizes) - don't need that many. I mainly bought it for the hex wrenches because the Fender custom shop tools don't really work with Mexican or Japanese guitars... This one has a more detailed collection of different sizes. Always good to have a driver and wire cutters and polish cloth. The MAJOR problem is the size. It just takes up a lot of space in that small compartment. I think it could have been made smaller like the Fender one.
The kit provides many tools that fit perfectly in guitar applications. I do almost all of my own set up and maintainence, and these tools have proven very valuable. The kit does lack some things that would improve the usage, such as a wrench for pots and jacks, and a small screwdriver for knobs, and a feeler gauge. The kit comes with Allen wrenches that fit any application I have been able to find on a guitar, and the wonder wipes are nice for cleaning. This is a great kit for those that like to do their own set up and maintainence, and with minor additions, can be a great compact kit to do anything and fit in most cases, bags, and gear boxes.
No surprises here. Comes with what it shows, nothing more and nothing less. Good quality tools. The snippers were more heavy duty than I expected.
