Escape Room The Game 4 Rooms Chrono Decoder

A present for my nephews whom loved the real experience of an escape room. Now they can play for themselves whenever they want.I believe its been a family hit for games night.

Hate to love but this game is hard!! Don't purchase unless you've already tested your relationship as arguments are sure to ensue when trying to solve these riddles.

Escape to fun.

Interesting game. The instructions were a little convoluted and a bit complex to start and took a bit of reading and interpretation. The starting “game simulation” was helpful to us to work through and interpret the game rules. When the game proper commenced, I thought that puzzle style nicely simulated the real escape room. Always remembering their sage advice in the instructions, “if you are getting frustrated, that’s ok, the game is supposed to be a bit frustrating”

Fun and challenging

Fun game. Not too ridiculously difficult (though I've only played the first 2 rooms and I assume they get harder). The clues are good. My only criticism is that there doesn't seem to be anything to do if you get really truly stuck other than google for the solution. I therefore rate it slightly lower than the Exit the Game series. On the other hand, Exit is hard to play with more than 2 players, whereas this one is more suitable for larger numbers. Overall really good and I would definitely buy the extension packs.

Good? Bad? I have no idea

This was one of the gifts I bought my 11yo granddaughter for Xmas who likes to go to the "live" Escape Rooms. She hasn't played it yet to my knowledge, so I'm not sure if it's good or bad, this the 3 star rating.

If like escape rooms, this game is for you! Even if you've never been to one, this game will transport you. No special equipment needed, just your smartphone! The game comes with the cardboard virtual reality set, and only minimal assembly is required. This game was my first experience with virtual reality and I was blown away! It comes with two scenarios: Submarine, and Behind Enemy Lines, both of which, will have you scrambling to solve the puzzles and find the next clue. Like real life escape rooms, you can only play through each scenario once, but the exhilaration you get from the hour of gameplay is like nothing else. If you love real life escape rooms, get this game. If you've never been, but you've always wanted to try it, get this game!

Lots of fun

The chrono decoder is a cool little extra, with 4 fun games as well as an intro puzzle. Definitely taxes the brain but good fun for people who enjoy escape rooms.

This is great for the family. It really is like doing a real escape room. Our kids (12 & 10) got into it and were able to participate. Have since found a two challenge extension too!

Not what I expected

This game was much harder to play than I thought it would be. Instructions weren't helpful and we certainly weren't having fun even after we went to the website that walked us through the game. I donated the game without ever finishing the other two missions. A real disappointment considering our family loves strategy games.

very good game

It is a very entertaining game. Simulates very closely the feeling of a real escape room. There are some very intriguing riddles, it is quite difficult for 2 people to complete in one hour, a little easier for more, it's a real pitty that you can only play it once (the same people i mean, you can still gift it or let other people play it) but it is worth the price for the entertainment it offers. I would like to buy the expantions when they are available.
