Overall:After a lot of research I chose this beast of a guitar for several reasons. Looks aside (and it DOES look better in person), the features on this axe are top-shelf and hard to beat. The EMG 81 combo just scream, be it rhythm or leads. The Floyd is very stable and stayed in tune even after trying to make it go out ( I used this guitar at practice the other night, and intentionally tried to make it lose tuning with extreme bar antics and dives). The U shape neck-thru was ultimately the deciding factor. I'd had an F200 (bolt-on) and loved it so I figured the neck-thru would be even better....IT IS! This is one of the best playing necks I've ever played. It rivals my Jackson DKMG with it's quickness and feel. It's a very comfortable neck, and after 2 hours my fret hand felt no fatigue at all.Right out of the case (I ordered the Gator Universal along with it) it was ready to go; in-tune with perfect action...I didn't have to do anything at all to it.I run this amazing guitar through a Bugera 6262 half-stack; a Fender Roc Pro 700 and a Fender Frontman 15 and it sounds incredible through them all. After an hour at practice, I added my Line 6 Floor Pod Plus to the mix and every preset I used sounded powerful and clear. Distortion was nasty with the 81s, and cleans were bright and snappy. The fret height is spot-on, with no drag whatsoever; playing chords or soloing is effortless. I can't say enough how much I love this already, and I just received it Thursday (today is Saturday). The neck heel is sleek and make reaching the upper registry a breeze. This is definitely going to be a workhorse for me, and I'll most likely get another one soon (I have the see-thru black; if zZounds offers another color, I'm on it!).For the features, playabilty and sound? There aren't too many that can compete with this. This neck on this guitar is better than my Schecter Syn Custom (also purchased from zZounds). If you're a shredder like me, you'll absolutely love this Ltd!

Be aware: GC sent me open the box item
7 October 2022

One of the pickups doesn't work. Small crack on the fretboard. I ordered new item but received heavily used guitar in a "fender" box wrapped in bubble wrap, no original packaging. It has all the signs to be heavily used. I have never expected from GC to do such thing.According to a support guy: "On placing the order you can contact us and ask to source it from our warehouse so that it's guarantee on brand new condition."... I didn't order open box item for the price of new guitar.Again, according to the support: "Unfortunately, brand new stock will arrive on November 17, I'll update you via email once we have it because sometimes stocks arrived before the expected date."So, why does website shows M-1000 in stock?

Fantastic for shredding. Floyd Rose is a pain but whammy makes it well worth. Feels, looks, and plays sick

Great features, needed some setting up
4 January 2019

This is a great guitar with good pickups, a Floyd rose bridge and locking nut, alder body, and neck through body maple neck. The guitar came with very light strings and a flat neck producing lots of string buzz between the first and seventh frets. After a set of 10 to 46 gadge strings, adding the forth spring to the Floyd Rose and three quarter turn loosening truss rod adjustments (done over a week) it plays very well. The EMG 81 pick ups are hot but musical. It sounds great on clean tone and distortion through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp. It's definitly made for metal but it can cover more territory. It doesn't have that natural unplugged great bell tone like a Gibson Les Paul but it's not made out of Mahogany either. Over all a great guitar.

Most bang for the buck 4 SURE!
19 May 2016

Very smooth playing with duel EMG 81's! Top of the line features, all the Metallica and old school metal you can dish out can be played on this. Down tuning can be a bit tricky do to the FR, but once you get used to making the adjustments needed your in drop d, drop c heaven! Definitely stays in tune no matter how many dive bombs you unleash!
