I have another nut feeder that hangs near this feeder and the birds will flock to that and often fight over it but even though there are no birds on this feeder they will still fight over the other feeder. I have even replaced the nuts the feeder came with thinking that may be the problem and put the expensive trusted nuts that I always use but alas no they aren't interested. I'm hoping things will change as we go into the winter. On a plus I don't need to refill it and it does look nice.

I've come to update my previous review that I wrote 6 months ago. I stated then that the birds won't go near this feeder and six months on they still won't. I have other feeders with nuts, seed and fat butter and all of the food gets demolished on a regular basis but this feeder is completely left alone I end up having to throw the nuts away as they become wet and horrible, all the food is hanging from branches in a tree so it can't be because of potential predators. I don't understand why if everyone else is saying birds like this feeder why they don't like it in my garden.

A nice bird peanut feeder. Looks good and value for money. The top of the acorn is actually plastic, not metal, although very realistic looking…I would have expected to pay a lot more if it was completely metal. Quick delivery also.

I have to say it is sturdy and is in fact a nice feeder my only problem is I have now had it three weeks and not one bird will go near it. A nice bird peanut feeder. Looks good and value for money. The top of the acorn is actually plastic, not metal, although very realistic looking…I would have expected to pay a lot more if it was completely metal. Quick delivery also.
I bought this for my elderly neighbour who loves feeding all the wildlife. It is not worth the money. The tiny bag of nuts it came with were all shrivelled up/stale. Poorly made. I found a better quality one in a German store ;) for a third of the price, with a adjustable cord to hang.
Pros: Ease of cleaning is important. Most peanut feeders accumulate damp at the base and the peanuts go mouldy which is potentially very bad for the birds, and they can be very difficult to clean/sterilize,Cons: I have an old one made by Gardman which I would love to get re-launched. I'll send you a photo of it if I can work out how to print off the photos on my computer !!
Birds are not feeding from it. I placed it under another a feeder, replacing the previous broken one and birds feed from the above feeder but not at all from the new one, even though the feeder above is now empty.Sad . . .
Brilliant unusual peanut feeder. Woodpeckers became regular visitors within a week to take turns with the blue tits!
