It hasn't noticeably done much for me so far. The main reason I switched to this was because I quit doing some of the more workout-oriented energy beverages such as C4 and Bang because the various stimulation qualities with the other important supplements were too much for my emotions to handle. I wanted the energy and the other parts such as the various minerals, electrolytes, essential amino acids and chain-branched amino acids, but the specific blend that some of these drinks have just doesn't sit well with me consistently enough to be efficient. So when I rediscovered Bulk Supplements and found the essential amino acids I decided to at least get that section of those drinks that I no longer include in my diet. I am a 66 year old male. I've been using your EAA for the past couple months. I have been combining it with your tart cherry because I always have used tart cherry for years for my joints and inflammation. Tart cherry is always made a big difference for me regarding that. I decided to use them both together. The last couple months I've noticed that my muscle tone is firmer and I actually noticed that I was growing some hair back in my thinning hair line. For me this has been a really great product so far. Looking forward to watching my progress as I continue to use.

And the others since before then. From experience I'm absolutely convinced that EAA's plus casein hydrolysate is better than any amount of casein hydrolysate alone, and EAA's alone are about as good as that or better yet much more affordable. On taste complaints, if you want performance, this is how it is. It should not matter. Personally I don't think it' significantly bad but I would use it no doubt if it was 10 times as bitter or whatever the objection is.The above is with reference to during-workout use. It's also useful and well worth it for supporting what ... MoreI have been using materials such as BCAA's, casein hydrolysate, whey hydrolysate, and combinations such as with citrulline malate since I suppose about 2005 or basically when casein hydrolysate came out. Horrible Taste
2 June 2024

Very poor taste and customer service. Nothing I mix this with covers the taste. It taste like pure armpit. It is frustrating when I try to return it and I get pennies on the dollar. Poor Customer Service just explaining to me why the taste is so bad. Why would you sell a product knowing the taste is so horrible. Frustrating experience

Important info to know, if you haven't bought this before.

Note: This powder stinks, and tastes bad. However, that's normal. I used to buy individual essential amino acids and mix them in the correct proportion, and the result smelled and tasted exactly like this. That's how it's supposed to be. The reason it stinks is because free-form amino acids don't normally exist in foods, so we never developed a taste for them. It's not horrible, you won't want to ***** or anything. But you won't likely want to drink it plain. Also, it dissolves poorly but less poorly in water that's a little warm. I imagine hot water might break down the EAAs into other protiens but I'm not sure. I use water that's luke-warm and it works. Stir but don't use a hand blender or it'll foam too much.Cocoa powder is the best way to mask the taste and ... MoreNote: This powder stinks, and tastes bad. However, that's normal. Stir but don't use a hand blender or it'll foam too much.Cocoa powder is the best way to mask the taste and smell. I imagine coffee would also work. A little of your favorite carbohydrate helps your system absorb the aminos, by giving you some fuel so it can use the aminos to build muscle and create neurohormones rather than using the aminos as fuel which your body does if it's low on energy. You don't need much of it. Taking 30 grams of free-form EAAs at once is a huge waste. Even world-class bodybuilders probably won't use more than 10-15 grams at a time, but you'll want to take it often because pure aminos get into your system very quickly and might get used up within an hour or so. It's better to take for example 5 grams every 30 minutes or 10 grams an hour than a larger amount less often. I imagine this would also be good for long fasting (with a little carbohydrate as well) to prevent excessive breakdown of muscle, skin, connective tissue and other tissues, as well as possible slight cognitive sluggishness that can be caused from a lack of aminos in the blood (brain hormones are made from aminos.)I'm not an expert in any of this so I recommend doing your own research in case I've gotten something wrong.

Learn more about EAAs.

I have written a review about these EAAs before. I want to encourage you to do a search on YouTube, Rumble and other video media for Dr David Minkoff and Dr. Robert Wolfe. They have done extensive work on the study of EAAs and their incredible benefits. Their research is very interesting. They both promote their own EAAs which are very, very expensive. They use a specific ratio of amino acids which accounts for a 99% utilization by the body to synthesize new protein, resulting in nearly zero excess amino acids. Other protein sources differ from this ratio to varying degrees of 48% utilization for whole eggs, down to 18% utilization for whey and 16% utilization for soy.I add some extra leucine (which I also get from Bulk Supplements) to my mixture to reach the ... MoreI have written a review about these EAAs before. The prices on EAAs and Leucine from Bulk Supplements are lower than prices you get from other companies. It isn't even close if you buy in large amounts. My purchases from Bulk Supplements have been great and without any problems. I strongly recommend them.

Magnificent

A serving in 40oz of water to begin my day as soon as I roll out of bed. Begins my day properly hydrated and prevents catabolism. Workout and then a high protein breakfast. Great quality, great convenience and tasteless!

Outstanding quality
1 July 2024

I have used other Bulk Supplements items before, and I appreciate their quality and the fact that questionable additives are not added. I love that these are the essential amino acids, and nothing more. They are powdery, fresh, and digest so well. I take one tablespoon of these EAAs shaken up with 14 ounces of water and 5 or 6 ice cubes, with a little dehydrated lemon, a little dehydrated lime, and two tiny scoops of stevia, first thing in the morning. I had to change from my previous brand of EAAs that I was using because they started adding more additives with, in my opinion, insufficient testing. I am so glad I changed to Bulk Supplements for my amino acids. I swear I can feel the difference. Shipping was great, too.

Too soon to tell
3 December 2021

It’s honestly too soon to review as I just received it last night so results will take time. I have been purchasing bulk supplements in general for many years and typically the price justifies the raw and generally bad taste. I’m not certain though that I will continue to buy this product due to the serving size and price. Basically this cost $1 per serving at 17.96 for 17 servings. In most cases the bulk stripped down and raw product is much cheaper than the store bought flavored stuff but in this case it just isn’t. I can buy flavored EAA for $40 for 40 servings so what’s the point in putting up with the bad taste. Time will tell if I see better results but at the current cost per serving I’d have to say I’ll probably pass next go.
