Flour is flour. Sorry if you are reading this after reading my review of the plain flour but I would say exactly the same. I love how this is such a great product at a very reasonable price..... why would you pay more for a brand name flour? Easy to find on the shelf. I like this size as I don't bake often. I have used it for scones and a couple of delicious cake recipes. A pantry staple which is essential for your baking. The Essentials range of pantry products is by 'go to' when I am shopping. If there was a great cake bakeoff and I had to sample different cakes cooked using different brands of flour I would not be able to tell the difference. Great product at a great price. Go to pantry staple for baking. I very much appreciated this sample as I buy this flour regularly. At $2. 70 it is not much cheaper than the 1kg bag at $1. 40 so either product is good, depending on how much you use it and how much storage you have. I have a Tupperware pantry mate that fits 2kg perfectly, with a handy scoop, so this size suits me. It means I donāt run out and I always have some flour on hand for baking a batch of sultana scones or anything else we want to nibble on. It also gets used regularly for fluffier pancakes.
Great Australian SR Flour. I already purchase the WW SR Flour. Although I donāt seem to use SR flour as often as the WW plain flour. I make quick scones, pancakes and beer batter. The price of $1. 40/kg is reasonable. I usually purchase the 2kg size as itās $1. 35/kg and I store in a large sealed jar. Thanks for this wonderful sample and the opportunity to review. I will continue to purchase this product.

Regular purchase for me. A really good quality self raising flour at a fabulous price. Distinctive clearly labelled recyclable packaging makes it easy to find. I always empty the flour into a well sealed airtight container. I have decanted half into this container and the other half into another air tight container and popped it in the freezer for later. Best place to keep extra supplies of flour in this current humidity. It is a silky smooth triple sifted Australian flour with a four star rating. I mainly use it in scones, pancakes and pikelets. Best place to keep extra supplies of flour in this current humidity. It is a silky smooth triple sifted Australian flour with a four star rating. I mainly use it in scones, pancakes and pikelets. I made Sunday morning banana and blueberry pancakes with some of this sample. The recipe is quite simple one cup of SR flour, one egg and one cup of liquid. This can be milk but I usually tend to use soda water instead of milk. This time I used a cup of Bundaberg limited-edition spiced Christmas Ginger Beer. Gave them a nice flavour and they were very light and fluffy. I added a big handful of fresh blueberries and one mashed banana to the batter. Served them with a drizzle of Woolworths date syrup as well as extra blueberries on the side with some Greek yoghurt. I used lightly greased egg rings to get my neatly rounded pancakes and added a little garnish of fresh mint. This SR flour will definitely be a repeat purchase as it always produces reliable results.
Pantry staple. Iām sure some will say not the same quality as āsuperiorā brands but to me the quality was great and the price is brilliant. Definitely a pantry staple. My kids (both in their 20s now) always loved making pancakes with me on a weekend morning when they were youngsters, so great to be able to have a packet of SR flour in the pantry so we can make pancakes whenever they come to visit. Also SR flour makes a nice thick fluffy pancake stack which is great with a dob of butter and a smothering of real maple syrup (the Woolies home brand of course) - or just sugar and lemon juice instead. Brings back the memories.
Always Provides Quality & Value.
