Essie 88 Licorice Nail Polish 13.5ml

My best advice for this or really any color product you have not bought before is do not rely on online swatches only if at all possible. I did some window shopping online looking for a new spring shade. Online it looked very muted and light, similar to some shades I already have. I had decided on a different shade based on online swatches, but selected this one when I got to the store. It's a nice shade, not to bright, and not too muted, I would say it's more of a salmon or light coral than peach. It's a good shade for spring and summer. It applies evenly and does not streak, weak time is average A lovely Spring/Summer shade, but I'd wear it year-round. I hope Essie keeps making this one. It's a keeper

Essie... classically awesome polish. I'm a beautician and I have the ability to purchase any brand at wholesale pricing. I always buy Essie because of the cute packaging (I'm a sucker for good presentation hehe), it's not sticky, dries quickly, lasts for than a day or two (usually it'll last 5 days without chipping!), and it's easy to remove. Also, Essie is always coming out with and creating the "new" thing... they're excellent at marketing themselves. I really want to try the new sheer gel topcoats! I'll post a review when I do finally buy one :) overall, I highly recommend Essie... aside from the slightly high price, it's awesome.

Having been a culprit of the in salon Shellac nails trend at the nail salon for years, my nails needed desperate TLC to heal and repair naturally. I used a regular nail strengthener and applied almond oil as a treatment every night for a few months to get my nails back to tip top health. Mademoiselle

One coat of Mademoiselle and it looks great apart from the places I messed up on! lol I usually use two coats and it becomes more opaque and smoother. It is one of the more white sheers, so with two coats it looks more opalescent than pink. Warning: do not get sunscreen on nail polish!!! It breaks it down and makes it sticky. This nail polish in the picture got sunscreen on it 24 hours previously though but I washed it off with soap and water and it went back to normal, as shown. ALSO CAN PEOPLE PLEASE INCLUDE THE NAMES OF THE POLISH THEY’RE REVIEWING?? I am dying at these comments showing off beautiful polish but not saying what color it is when Essie has so many that look alike!! 😭

TOO EXPENSIVE

Boatloads of love is a beautiful muted, creamy white. It’s not pink, not even slightly - more of a grayish undertone. It’s not iridescent - not at all even though the bottle looks like it. It’s very streaky - 3 coats for decent coverage. And it dries weird, almost like it’s old polish which sucks because I literally just bought this. Idk how well it wears but judging by the tiny bubbles forming and how long it’s taking to fully dry, I’m not hopeful. Super disappointing considering the price!
