For more mature dehydrated skin this sinks into my pores of my cheeks and looks pitted and aweful. I had to switch my skincare to give me more hydrated base to get this foundation to look good on my over 40 face. It took me some time and practice to get this to look good on my skin, but it is worth it because the longevity is unlike any foundation. Once it is set into place, it does not move. This is a medium coverage to full coverage foundation depending on your application and amount used. I can get this to full coverage to hide my freckles and hyper pigmentation without looking cakey you can pile this on a spot that you want to hide and it will not look cakey even after 12 hours of wear. This is a matte foundation but it does not dry down, it remains tacky and sticky and requires me to set it with a powder.

When previously, all I needed was moisturizer, primer, this foundation and the smallest amount of setting powder in the morning and I was good for the entire day. We didn't ask for a change. We didn't need a change. For those with extremely oily skin who never knew the original formula, you are lucky. Its results were unbelievably reliable and long lasting. It was unparalleled to any other product out there. They gave us the perfect product and then ripped it away. Devastating.

This is going to be a long and detailed review. I bought this product to replace my current HG. This is my third time trying EL DW in about 3 years. I am still on the fence about it, but I wanted to see if this would help clear my acne. Everyone raves about it so I figured it was something I was doing wrong. I just keep blotting paper on hand and use it around lunch time. I am genuinely impressed with how well it stays, even after I get oily. I will say that I struggled finding a shade that works for me. I have pretty neutral undertones, but the neutrals were a bit too warm for me. The cool tone is too cool and makes me look ill. I ordered a shade warmer and a shade darker in a sample to see if I need to mix it or just got the wrong shade. I would say this is a 3 star foundation because of the application difficulty but gave it 4 because it is the best staying foundation I have tried (this is my 9th or 10th different foundation try).

After No 7 having discontinued their matte mousse foundation, I have spent the past few years searching for as good a product at their price points.. I tried ALL of the other number 7 foundations and they just didn’t give me the full coverage and matte finish I have always favoured. So after moving away from Double Wear in my mid twenties, I decided to bite the bullet and spend the little bit of money extra to go back to my old faithful I used as cabin crew in my younger years.. and it didn’t disappoint! At almost 40 my skin has changed to being more blemish prone, but this just covers it all without the need for concealer and layers of powder.. I feel and look like a million dollars wearing it and the colour match is incredible. If you’re wearing it all day long, you probably won’t even need to touch up whatsoever, only patt down any shine with a tissue.. it’s so good that I can remember wearing it often to fly to America, go out for the night, sleep in it, wake up and sit by the pool all day and not reapply! Not that I recommend that but I was young and skincare wasn’t a huge priority! An incredible product and well worth the money
