Double wear maximum cover love that less coverage on my face love it 😍🥰🥰🥰 my skin is Combination with the exception of my nose being oily. Without primer this foundation does not work well. With primer it actually looks great! I would mix this foundation with a drugstore runnier consistency one just because it's so matte and heavy.The coverage is great and so far the only one I've found to cover my freckles! If you have large pores this will definitely emphasize them so try to use a silicon based primer. Moisturize heavily before using because if u have any dry spots they will show and the foundation will stick to those spots. any oil it will "separate" and look funky. Double wear

I purchased this hoping it was going to be perfect for covering dark spots. It did cover them, but no better than the makeup I regularly use that I purchase at the local store where I get all my household, makeup, and every day items. I also hated the fact that it was a very, very, matte finish. It makes you look much older and dried out. A friend of ours commented that I looked really wiped out and run down when I wore it. Even though he didn’t know it was the makeup doing this. I tried using all kinds of moisturizers and primers and even luminous liquids trying to get it to look better, but nothing helped. So for me, it did not work out.

Honest review!

This foundation for full coverage is definitely the go to!I have quite a pale complexion so i got the 1N3 creamy vanilla, it has a slight warmth to it but not over the top or orange.This has a matt finish so if i could give anyone advice definitely exfoliate and get any dead skin off the face first and any peach fuzz because it will show peach fuzz under certain light.It a thick formula it dries very quickly so you will need to work fast with it. I advise use in conjunction with a moisturiser and a damp make up sponge to apply then the results are flawless and flattering.If u skip using moisturiser and a damp sponge u will look cake like. Letdown

I have very oily skin, and even when it gets dry due to over washing, I still only wear matte foundations. It's been hard to find a great stay in place and shine control matte foundation. I always used to wear the original double wear and would switch to try new ones but always found myself going back to double wear. When I saw this i was instantly intrigued and tried it out. at first application it seemed amazing. Sure it doesn't have a good color range but the formula of it seemed perfect. It was the best matte foundation upon application i have ever tried. Velvety smooth, powder finish, non transfer power (when set with powder) then not even 3 hours later my skin looked so blotchy and patchy like discolored in certain areas. Lovely foundation

I have tried this foundation about 6 years ago and i didn't like it because i didn't get my shade right.I have been using the double wear stay in place for 6 years + which i am totally in love with.Yesterday, i decided to give it a go with the right shade. I use the shade 4w2 Toasty Toffee in double wear stay in place. Therefore i got the exact shade in this one.I moistured my face well with an oil free moisturiser. I have hyperpigmentation and uneven tone for reference. I do have a lot of dark spots under my chin and on my cheeks. so, i got a tiny pea size amount of the foundation on each side of my cheek and slightly blended it with a damp sponge around my face. The foundation covered all the hyperpigmentation and made my skin tone even. I am in my early 30s as well for reference.The foundation doesn't feel heavy at all and looks lovely. But please make sure you get your exact shade.

My Go-To for 25 years!

I’ve been using this foundation since my wedding in 1997! My skin scars easily from just one pimple so this is perfect for covering any blemishes. It spreads easily so only a small amount is needed and the tube lasts for ages. I’ve also found, after using this for 25 years, my skin has aged well and I receive compliments on how young I look. I believe this foundation has played a part in keeping my skin youthful as it is the only product I have used consistently. Over time I have tried other products and nothing else compared to this one. I recommend this for anyone who needs to cover imperfections and give the illusion of blemish free skin.

Although I do love the coverage and the finish on this foundation, sadly there is just not a match for my skin. The pigments oxidize quickly which at least gives you your final color right away. But there is just no match for my light skin. I have been back to the store three times, trying shades and taking home samples, but the so called neutrals turn orange, the warm shades are already orange right out of the tube, and the cool shades are way too red. You would think an iconic company like Estee Lauder would formulate even just a couple of options for truly fair skinned people. For reference I was born a red head and now at 70 yrs young my hair has turned a lovely pale strawberry blonde with silvery highlights. Gorgeous! My skin is very fair with some light freckles. Admittedly my coloration is unusual, but come on Estee Lauder! I'm glad to see high end makeup companies expanding their shade range to include dark shades, but why won't they also make more effort to include those of us at the other end of the shade chart? So much transfer!!

I wanted to love this foundation but I couldn’t. The regular double wear is my HG foundation and I thought this may be a higher coverage version - it really isn’t. This foundation separates and transfers at the slightest touch, even with primer, powder and a setting spray. I tried mixing it with regular double wear, moisturiser, nothing made this better. The shade I selected was the same that I wear in the OG double wear - however this is a decent two or so shades lighter on the skin. I couldn’t even use this as a concealer as the transfer is so bad. If you’re looking for a higher coverage version of the original double wear this isn’t it - it’s the same brand, same name but totally different formulation.

Wear on its own or mixed with standard Double Wear

On its own I find that I need to prep my skin really well with moisturizer and a hydrating primer to prevent the foundation clinging to any dry patches on my face. I have only worn this on without mixing my standard double wear in one, and found that any skin imperfections were covered really well, but my complexion looked a bit dull, so I needed to contour, apply blush and take those few extra steps. I have worn this foundation mixed in with my standard double wear to be the best way for me to wear this product. I mix 1/3 of the double wear maximum cover with 2/3 of the standard double wear together then apply using a damp make up sponge. After setting the two with setting powder, I get a nice finish that lasts for hours, wearing a mask will definitely make the make up come off around the tip of the nose, but other areas of the face will still look well covered.If I have had a patch of redness or a blue vein to cover, the maximum cover does the trick, using a concealer brush I apply product to the area that needs covering, then blend with a damp sponge.I think this foundation is well suited to younger skin on its own, or mature skin that is really well prepped with hydrating products, or mixed in with another foundation for the extra pigmentation.
