Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup 7N2 Rich Amber 1.2 oz

A 35 ml bottle, a tube made of soft plastic with a convenient dispenser. Made in Canada. The product has an SPF of 45. Practically fragrance-free. The consistency of the foundation is very liquid and is perfectly distributed over the skin with any method of application. It masks minor imperfections well, evens out the tone, smoothes out texture irregularities without clogging into fine wrinkles. Gives the skin a light glow that is not noticeable when applied. The skin really stays well hydrated all the time. The consumption of the product is economical. When applying a light coating, one pump press is enough, on average two. One of the disadvantages is the contamination of the spout and lid.

I love this foundation. As I’ve aged I’ve noticed my oily, acne-prone skin actually needs and craves more hydration in my base makeup products. This foundation goes on SO smoothly and, most importantly, is comfortable all day long! For every day, I put it on with my fingers to get shear coverage, and for events I use a brush or a sponge for medium-full coverage. It still looks like skin and not caked on which is my preference. To get even MORE coverage, I highly recommend mixing a bit of the double wear with it! I love this foundation and can see myself repurchasing again and again. The one downside is it has quite a strong floral scent when you first use it, but I haven’t noticed it since the first time I wore it. This is quite possibly the b aest foundation I have had the pleasure of using. I had read about Estee Lauder’s Hydra Rescue when researching foundations for dry skin. I myself a have very dry skin that loves to flake and my face gets dry spots. It’s awful living in the desert sometimes! What this foundation does that others do not, is provide a full coverage yet silky breathable feel that has a beautiful satin like finish that won’t dry out. That being said, don’t think that this product stays wet or is oily because it’s quite the opposite. This product dries nicely without over drying and giving way to dry flakes. It really does its job well. It is however on the Pricey side, but worth every penny.

I’ve read so many good reviews on this product. I have combination maturing skin. I thought with the hydra rescue name and the thinner viscosity, the this would be a good product for me. I like to finish. It’s kind of satiny but a little Matte. The finish is not too shiny. the packaging is really nice. A soft tube with a pump top makes it very easy to dispense and get out all the product. it has a sheer coverage on one application, but can be built up where needed. But this is where I have the problem. In building it up those areas tend to get a little kinky. The share formula falls right into an accentuates any texture area that I have such as the nose and the chin and between the brows. Great for 40+ Skin

I am 40 with Roseccia on cheecks that tends to be dry, also have fine lines on forehead.I apply first my EL Serum then my Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and letvthat soaknin for 5-10 min. Then I applied 3 small pumps directly on checks and forehead and blended it out with a foundation brush, set with Laura Mercier loose powder as well the Irbam Decay Setting spray. Dabbed everything in once again with beauty blender! Like that I rceived a beautiful even complexion that lasted all day in the hot and humid weather of South Texas!It covered my mild roseccia well! Has become my daily wear foundation.

This is probably my favorite foundation ive tried. The color match is perfect, it has a nice medium coverage, and has a beautiful radiant finish. It doesnt make the texture of my acne scars or blemishes look more obvious. I also like that it has a healthy dew to it, but doesnt get super oily throughout the day.There are a few downsides. First, i have combo/dry skin and I notice that if my skin isnt absolutely hydrated, it breaks up a little around my mouth and chin through out the day. Its not majorly obvious, but i notice it. The next downside is, if you use too much of it, it sits on top of your skin and looks "makeup-y".Even with the few downsides, its still a consistent and safe choice for daily wear.

My #2 Holy Grail...FINALLY

I can't tell you how many foundations I've tried in the past 2 years...SO much dissappointing trial and error but I FINALLY found the one. I've long been a fan of Estee Lauder Double Wear but as I get closer to 30, I'm experiencing more fine lines, dry skin concerns and hormonal acne. This foundation addressed all my concerns, I was looking for something lighter coverage that felt more like skin (although I love Double Wear it's a bit heavy to be my everyday foundation) but this one...THIS. IS. IT. It applies and blends easy, it feels like I'm wearing nothing, the coverage is still pretty full for me (even with cystic acne) but not so full where it feels drying and over the top for everyday. Not as good as Double Wear

I was so excited to try this. I have been using double wear (DW) for over 10 years, and this was supposed to be especially suitable for those with dry skin - excellent! The first thing I noticed was the runny consistency - that told me straight away that I wasn't going to like the coverage. Yes it's buildable but I honestly don't have the time in the mornings to spend building up layers of foundation! I barely have time for applying all the skincare products I need! Pros - it goes on well, the colour match is good (I went for the same colour as my DW colour), I like the fact that it comes with a pump. Cons - I don't like the tube (I prefer the DW bottle), it's runny so harder to apply and takes longer to build more coverage, I haven't noticed any 'hydrating' ... MoreI was so excited to try this. BTW Estee Lauder - I don't want to have to buy 2-3 different priming, serum products to put on prior to putting this on thanks! Your foundation on its own is expensive enough, and it should work well on its own. I will stick to DW in the future.

Not full coverage

I am 55, have some wrinkles, med-large pores, red areas and brown spots to cover. I went in trying to get a different color of my double wear I have used for years. I normally buy it elsewhere but because of the promotion I had to return it in store. The lighting inside Macy’s is horrible, it’s dark and fluorescent? The saleswoman said my face was really dry and that I should try the Futurist Hydra Rescue instead. She also upsold me the Micro Essence. She said it would help with the redness on my skin. The Micro Essence goes into my skin like water. It doesn’t feel any different afterwards, maybe it will in time. The Futurist Hydra Rescue is NOT full or LASTING coverage like Double Wear. Smooth and Velvety

I was so impressed with this formulation! I am a hard core Double Wear user, for almost 30 years now. I have tried other foundations and have immediately gone back to the Double Wear. I did see a few tutorials on the Futurist Hydra Rescue and went to Hudson's Bay and the young lady gave me a trial sample. They didn't have my CDusk or C Pebble , so she put the Ivory Beige in the little tube.I have tried it for the past two days and was Amazed!I put it on under the Futurist Primer with a foundation brush and loved immediately how smoothly it glided over my face and evened out my skin tone and covered my redness and imperfections.
