Estwing out-did itself with this Bricklayer's hammer, the E6-22BLCL 22-Oz Big Face Bricklayer Hammer. The larger striking face has a unique angle to it to help maximize impact with the longer handle. You can "tap" things into place with finesse or knock things down. The pry end is excellent for lifting and moving things into place or prying them apart.. The extra long handle is designed to simultaneously put more power into your strike and reduce vibration at the same time. A note though: I do not say this in a demeaning way, but this hammer is not intended for smaller people. The head is 22 ounces and about 15 inches out from your grip. If you are not a larger, muscular person, I highly recommend the 12 inch version. The 12 inchers are still very good hammers which will serve you well. But this 18 incher can kick even a big man's rump if he doesn't let it do the work.
