I originally ordered a different brick hammer but after using it twice I didn't like the feel of the hammer so I made contact with rhinobuild and explained my situation regarding the hammer and they kindly swapped my hammer for the estwing 24oz brick hammer. Great product just feels like my old hammer but heavier. But great customer service from rhinobuild and will definitely be using them again :-)

Great handle to absorb the shock, and good for chipping away mortar from old bricks. Would recommend a 32 oz hammer for that type of work as more momentum is needed to separate bricks from the mortar.

I have used Estwing hammers for over 20 years. While one of my employees likes a wood handled brick hammer because its a little lighter, he routinely has to soak it in water to swell the wood and keep it together. The only reason youd need to replace an Estwing is if you lose it.
It felt great in my hand and gave me a great day of hunting rocks and digging, but I dulled it heavily on both ends in just one day. The day consisted of 6 hours of digging in a creek bank, trying to chip the edge of many geodes that had chalcedony, microcrystalline quartz, flint, and an agate. I couldn’t believe how much it dulled, but I’ll see if it gives me a second day of fun rock hunting. If it still gives results, I’ll update my rating.
It's great for chipping off concrete as well as splitting rock. Estwing is always the best. It is just the right weight and construction to be easy in the hand and maximize power to the head.
Quality 24 oz brick-breaker and stone-facer. Great solid metal with grippy rubber handle.
Seemed to not have the right balance for best impact. I didnt hate it, but I liked the Vaughn slightly better. Im not a mason and I suspect this one would live longer than the wood handled Vaughn with regular abuse.
This mason hammer worked great, it was the right tool to use to cut brick pavers. Comfortable to hold.
Used this hammer to chip off edges of cement benches for natural edge. Nice hammer, clean lines. works well.
