Estée Lauder Pure Color Matte Lipstick Love Bite

Quality: very good Texture: good for matte lipstickThe colour “Suit Up” is very similar to “Love Bite”. In picture side by side for comparison. Colour chart on Ladaza not very helpful. The international website (not EL Malaysia) provides more useful info on the colours. Very comfortable to wear although becomes quite dry after some time. Lovely powdery scent and beautiful lipstick casing with magnet. The box says “refillable” but refills are not yet available. Just a bit disappointed, no free gift whatsoever and not even a single free sample from Estee Lauder

Bought this on a whim......

This was on sale randomly about a week ago, so i bought the color "Thrill Me". MAC reformulated Ruby Woo, my favorite shade, and it isnt the same now, so i figured, why not. Pleased to say i am impressed at how light and wearable the formula is, has silky moisture while still matte and actually as bright as Ruby Woo, just a bit warmer. It really might be my new favorite! It also has a faint vanilla citrus scent. 10/10.

Comfortable

I received this lipstick from influenster in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.I got this in the shade love bite which is a basic nude leaning pink. Its a pretty neutral shade. Its comfortable on the lips even though its matte is not drying at all. It feels very soft and like it claims has a velvet matte finish. I did notice while applying it would chunk up a little after the first layer but it was an easy fix. It does transfer but after blotting the transfer was very little. I'm glad it does not have a strong scent. It does have some kind of scent but its so light it's not even noticeable while wearing.The packaging it very sleek and beautiful. Idol

Highly pigmented lipstick encased in a beautiful gold casing that shut smoothly with a magnet 'click'. The lipstick itself glides beautiful. One swipe was all I needed. After some while, it does dries matte and doesn't move much even after eating. lips literally feels soft and velvety. How did I miss this lipstick range all these while. Glad I found this gem.

Lovebite

I received this product free from Influenster and Estée Lauder. This is a nice lipstick. The gold metal tube is gorgeous and has a magnetic cap closure so it doesn't come off easily and stays on tight. Rolling up the tube the lipstick itself is at a slant with the EL logo imprinted on the top. I did not smell a fragrance. I used nothing else with this to get an accurate feel and review. Loved the texture and how it felt. It went on velvety smooth and felt soft. My lips felt like I had just put on a hydrating lip mask. It almost seemed to plump up the skin and fill in any lines. Really liked the smooth matte finish, not drying at all. Stayed well on my lips but was not hard to remove with just my fingers. All in all very impressed with the pure color lipstick.

Myer consultancy is the only way to buy lipstick

With help from the consultant we narrowed down 4 lipsticks. Then I learnt about warm and cool lipstick. The consultant chose what she said suited me. I wore it for the rest of the day and took some selfies. In the end I was very happy with my lip colour and the knowledge that I am a cool person. The consultant was professional and knowledgeable and I came away with a lipstick and lip-liner. In the future I will always return to Myer for the great products and wonderful assistance. I felt like a VIP customer.

One glide for glam

It is my 3rd lipstick from Estee Lauder. Does not feel sticky, it feels like powder is touching your lips, it’s highly pigmented and very light and soft on lips. The shape is beautiful, it’s magnetic closing, which I prefer. The lipstick also has textured lines and a beautiful logo on tip of lipstick (which makes it easier to determine the fresh packaging) Comparison -Big Bang berry by sugar is heavy on purplish pink side -The undertone of Afterhours is very similar to Diva by Mac. However, the difference is that the red of afterhours comes with the tone of purple little more. It came with a beautiful lipstick pouch and a mini version of face powder (which I already have and it’s super nice).

Thank you EL for doing something that no other cosmetic company can claim (as far as I know), which is to use the terms "cool", "warm" and "neutral" in ALL the descriptions of your lipstick shades. Personally, I can't wear warm colours (and even neutrals are iffy), so this is extremely helpful to me. On a similar note, thank you for including cool shades in the line up: e.g., the subtle and sophisticated Suit Up (matte) and Insider (creme). Some companies neglect us cool-toned folks. Lastly, your formulas are fabulous. My only suggestion is to offer more accurate photos of the shades.

a great find

Found this pure color matte lipstick (812 change the world) in an airport shop! I wanted something that would be like a bold neutral for my face tones. This is perfect--use sparingly for brightening up the natural look or put on more for drama. The color lasts for hours, even with snacking. I put it over a lip conditioner and it isn't drying at all. It also stays on if I put lip balm over it. Thank you!
