These eco-friendly and sustainable power solution for eufy cameras is great innovation. They were surprisingly easy to install on the house and charged fairly quickly. It is really important to install these in an area that gets full sun as I noticed that these don’t work very well in shadier or partial sun areas. It’s nice to be able to use solar power to charge the camera rather than hydro given the hydro costs in my area. Although I can’t yet speak on durability, I noticed that the gaskets were weatherproof so hopefully these solar panels will last throughout our harsh winter. The set up in the app was seamless and you can actually see how much charge is left on the solar panels thorough the app. Overall, I recommend these.

I am actually very impressed with these solar panels! The quality of them feel nice and sturdy. They’re waterproof, which definitely helps in Canadian weather, where it rains unexpectedly. The box comes with everything you need to set up. They’re also compatible with many different types of cameras, and was surprisingly easy to set up with the camera I already had from before. They charge pretty quickly as well! I found the eufy app pretty easy to use, allows you to check how much charge is on the panels! I also appreciate the cost saving aspect of the charging, it still makes a difference! Just make sure you set them up in an area with a lot of direct sunlight! Overall, im pretty happy with these and excited to continue using them

I’m mistakenly bought the panels thinking that I could use them with one of their cameras, but they were not compatible. I then wanted to return them and that’s where the nightmare began. It takes a long time for them to respond. They tell you to take pictures of everything. I send it back and I probably waited close to two months for a refund. I had to contact them a couple times telling them I never saw the refund come through when they said they had done it. Finally, I found the refund but they literally cut the amount refunded back to me in half. You would be so much better off if you buy it on Amazon, because the returns are so much more easy. I thought I’d do the company a favor by working directly with them, but that definitely backfired.

Great environmentally friendly way to reduce the operating costs of my security camera

First off I love the idea of charging my security camera battery with the sun during the day especially on sunny days, great way to lessen the environmental impact of my devices. This was easy to install on my roof and included all the necessary hardware to do this. These included all the adapters needed to use these with any model which makes these panels a one size fits all product. The app was handy to use to set the charging on the camera to solar charging which did reduce the charging time. The panels seem quite durable and .look like they will definitely survive the elelments!

Pricier than the competition, but more options and seemingly better build quality

I've had this model and the Wasserstein version long enough now to say that they both work, and with careful placement (and enough sun), they should keep your camera topped off or at least dramatically extend the amount of time between needs for a full recharge.The key is to follow the advice of any of the reputable online solar companies about placement of panels. The ideal setting (in the Northern Hemisphere) is having the cells face due South and then adjusting the angle of the panels depending on your location. (Search for "solar panel angle by zip code" for various sites that will provide optimal angles.) Any shade falling on the cells during the day will also reduce their output dramatically. If you don't have a perfect mounting location, you may find yourself better off putting the panel in a place where it gets two or three hours of unrestricted sun rather than many more hours of partial shade.That said, even with relatively poor southern exposure and occasional tree branch-induced shade during the day, this panel keeps a 2C camera that saw a couple dozen recording events a day adding charge, not losing it, on bright days. Shortening the length of each recording session and not using the spotlight definitely helps. And make sure to go into the Power Manager setting to select Solar Panel as the power source.The panel itself only gets four stars largely because of its price compared to the primary competitor. That said, it has several advantages over the Wasserstein model. To start, the Eufy mounting hardware is metal, not plastic. The Wasserstein is designed only for the 2C and 2C Pro cameras, while the Eufy comes with a variety of USB connector gaskets to work with other Eufy camera models. Finally, the Eufy also has a built-in slot for winding up extra cable, something the Wasserstein lacks.All in all, I'm finding it well worth the price to avoid climbing a ladder every few months to charge a camera.

Pro's out weigh the Con's BUT....

I'm new to Eufy Security Devices and of the 2 S330 outdoor cameras, 1 C210 outdoor camera, 2 Solar Panel Chargers, and 1 S380 Home Base 3 (hard drive added). All installations went without issues. Installation was straight forward and not difficult.I am impressed with all the features and settings available for the end user to utilizes as desired.There are, however, several thinks that really should be considered to be updated. They are as follows:1. All recordings should be saved to the Homebase 3 (no subscription needed). There should be only 1 defined storage device when no subscriptions are needed. As it stands now, when a recording is made by the camera when in "Live View" it only saves to the cell phone and doesn't save at all on the Homebase 3.2. From what I can find out the large storage batteries in the cameras are not "plug and play" and are built in thus non replaceable.Overall I rate the mentioned devices at 3++ (almost a 4 rating). The 4 "Con's" noted resulted in not giving a rating of 4 or 5.4. When using the default setting of "Auto" in the C210 Solo "Streaming Quality" setting it will not allow a full length video to be saved (saves to cellphone) but only saves a small portion of the video recorded. As an example a 32 second recording saves to the cell phone as a 7 second video.This issue does not occur with the S330 outdoor cameras.

Smaller than expected but works great

The actual panel is smaller than initially thought; however, the like size is perfect and it works great plus ALL of the gaskets for the many Eufy cameras you DO NOT get in off-brand panels. The smaller size helps the panel be less visible on the gutter (purchased gutter mounts on a different site). The 13 feet of power cable is plenty even when your camera is mounted under a soffit mine. There is a section/channel to wrap unused cable which comes in handy if you don't use all 13 feet of cable (like me). So far in the summer, plenty of sunshine so we will see what winter brings (in Ohio).

Thoughtful features

I was finding that my cameras were running out of battery power faster than I'd hoped, probably from enabling HomeKit features. So instead of continuing to charge them now and then with a big battery and cable outdoors (I don't like to take them down and re-aim them), I decided to try Eufy's solar panels.I did consider some third-party solar panels because of the lower cost but what really pushed me to the official Eufy solution was that they took care to include a rubber seal to keep water from getting into the connection. In fact, they included multiple seals to provide for all of their camera models. I could see that the solar panel came with a long cable but I could find no information about how to deal with extra that I didn't need. I thought I might have to use wire ties or something. But I was pleased to see that the back of the panel includes a place to wind up the extra cable.I really appreciate the value brought be those simple, but thoughtful, features.After running with solar power for a while I can see that the camera batteries are gaining in charge. They do charge somewhat slowly, which is fine because it's plenty to outpace the power the cameras are using.The only thing I wish they had included is a longer, possibly curved mounting arm to get around the gutter and above the roof line to point toward the sun when mounted on the north side of my house.

Works well with the camera we already had and cost saving!
