Love these cameras, so much better than the zmodo cameras I have. First off, video quality (even at night) is better, and top notch motion detection. Basically I can identify anybody I'm familiar with via video and definitely can see enough to recognize if the dogs are doing something naughty, like barking or digging, and with a new dog in the neighborhood that sounds just like one of ours, turns out the camera actually proved we were blaming our dog for noise she wasn't making. To top it all off eufy offers cloud storage, but for cheaper, if you still want to go that route.The microphone on the camera seems to be good quality because my family watched some recordings and heard conversations that we had while in range. And with a full charged battery I've even used the 2c's speaker to talk to the dogs in the backyard.So overall, I highly recommend this brand and this camera kit specifically, although I did give a four star instead of five because the hombase has a small storage size of about 15ish Gbs. With that small of storage it means either paying for cloud or deleting every couple of weeks while it's not too big a deal I much would have preferred the option of expandable storage for the Homebase 2, although only Homebase 1 has it I think. Anyway despite that I love the 2c security cam kit from eufy.

It's been a decent set of cameras so far. The motion detection can be a little slow at times but for the most part it isn't horrible. I've noticed more so at night than in the day the camera picks up cars driving by despite the detection area not being set for that area. While it doesn't pick up every car driving by at night, if they seem to be in just the right spot, it'll pick them up. I really wish you could adjust the detection area on these like you can the doorbell camera.Battery life made it about 3 weeks the first time around. I did turn the sensitivity down a little after that and it seems to be catching less events now, but still reporting on the ones it should be. We picked up a couple of 2C cameras after buying a Ring camera and found out that there is a service charge for recording clips and seeing previews of the clip in the notification. We were drawn to Eufy because there was no subscription needed to get all the features, a real plus for us as we are tired of subscribing to everything. The only problem is these cameras are not good at all at picking up motion. We have two cameras on our property and both are pretty bad at picking up motion and recording that motion. Some recent examples are we had 5 deer walk by our side camera and it picked up nothing and just today our 5 year old went up our front stairs, where the front camera is pointed and it never saw him. I love the fact that it comes with a local storage unit. Although cloud storage can be purchased additionally, it is not required. These cameras pack quite a few options in the app and are very easy to install. The fact that connecting another Eufy camera is a snap as well. The battery holds up extremely well but of course, that will depend on the amount of activity it detects.So far, these things have seen scorching heat and hurricane level winds, storms and torrential rain. I haven't had to worry about them at all. Also, the night vision and the built in spotlight are excellent options to have within the unit. Excellent investment.

The cameras pick up motion extremely well and capture video very clearly and for almost as long as you want. The more activity recorded of course the lesser amount of time the batteries will last however they last a very very long time regardless. I’ve even used them to record workers around my property to see how the job is progressing and how well they are doing. I am alerted via my iPhone whenever movement is detected and can instantly review what is taking place. I can even watch the surveillance of these cameras through my Alexa Show by asking Alexa to open a particular security camera. This may not be an issue for everyone but it's one preferred feature I have of the Ring. The continuous capturing of a snapshot every 15 minutes or so is not an option on the eufy cameras. That feature has assisted us in capturing and timing of events in the past by capturing things that didn't trigger motion detection or more often are outside of our activity zones but still incredibly helpful.Overall:Absolutely would recommended.
I've had the cameras for about 6 months. They are placed at the corner of the house, not covered. Based on the alleged water proof rating, I assume they would be ok. During heavy rain, with high humidity. Both of my camera will fog up inside the lenses. The cameras take up to 3 days to fully clear up with the heat of the sun. They still work, you just get like 180p clarity.I've done a warranty exchange for one of the cameras which began displaying the issues first, thinking it was a factory issue. Shortly thereafter, the second camera began displaying the same issue.The cameras are just not sealed and water proof as claim.
