Initially I struggled to find a good mounting position for this unit near my front door. The front façade of my house is rock, and I did not want to drill into it, nor did I want to drill into my glass storm door. I decided to try mounting the unit to the center of the wooden front door. The view was good from this position but I came to find out the technology for the motion sensing does not work through glass. I decided to try mounting the unit directly to the storm door with Gorilla Heavy Duty Mounting tape. After a test fit I saw the back of the unit has raised areas around the mounting holes, using a sander I took those off and made the back flush and cleaned both surfaces with alcohol and applied the tape. This lived up to my expectations. It was easy to install. The battery life is good(depending on the motion detection setting). The dual cameras works as advertised, and is not a gimmick. To have the entire view of the porch, is just amazing! The customization options are overwhelming, which is a always good. And the ability to save the clips locally without having to pay for it is icing on the cake.However, there have been false alarms lately, both human detection and package notifications. The notification timings are a little too late, a few seconds more than I’d like. Once the notification come in, it’s possible to have missed the person completely. I hope the lag gets fixed with future firmware updates.

I have used many of the other security camera products out there, but switched over to Eufy about two years ago and never regretted it. Now with the dual doorbell it’s even better than before. The delivery and pickup package features are great added with the familiar faces are an awesome combination. On top of the human detection the loitering option is a nice addition to the detection feature. Love that you have the ability to set the detection on both cameras. I currently have 15 cameras and three home bases all on one app and no monthly subscription you just can’t beat this product and service.

If you are already in the Eufy ecosystem with their Homebase 2 and battery powered cameras, this is a great and no-brainer add-on. The secondary camera that points downward where packages are delivered is the biggest improvement and benefit. 2K video quality and notification speed is excellent, which to me are the most important requirements of a video doorbell. Human AI detection is also very accurate. Newer features such as facial recognition and package detection / guarding works pretty good and has improved significantly since launch. Eufy is great at releasing software and firmware updates on a frequent regular basis. Hoping for a wired version which would likely allow the AI features to be even better and 3 second pre-roll recording feature.
I purchased the eufy solar cameras about a year ago and just loved how they performed and had not annual fee. So I decided to ditch the ring doorbell and I bought 2 of these. Have been using them for about 4 months and just love the package alert with the dual cameras. Our batteries do not last 180 days tho. They probably last about 30 days on an active door and about 40 days on an inactive door.
I just upgraded my ring pro original to eufy dual battery. I am excited to say that very happy with the upgrade. Doorbell has good night vision. And I can see everything. Downside I had to replace my nearlynewmodels doorbell mount with a eufy dual which is a lot bigger I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get a mount and have to return the doorbell . However doorbellmounts.com DOES support both eufy wired dual and the battery dual. Make sure to choose the right one! I chose the eufy dual wired for my battery Doorbell because I intended to wire it up but the mounts are different sizes. Nearlynewmodels accepted my return and I got the battery version which is much bigger. It fit my 4” siding exactly. See photo.

When in the house we can see who’s at the front door seamlessly with no lag.I wish the form factor was slightly slimmer in depth, but it has two cameras that work amazingly well, so I think it’s a great compromise. It is actually narrower than my Ring Pro and the option to have your own hard drive to record is amazing and allows for no monthly fees.Set up was easy. Just follow the directions. By using the QR code prior to installation makes it simple. The field of view on the main camera covers my entire front porch and anyone approaching. Combine that with quality video, this provides peace of mind from the standpoint of security.Quality of build is good and the overall packages design is clean. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but something Eufy should be working on to improve.For our purposes I give this product Five stars while the App gets 3.5 stars.I’ll be replacing my Ring cameras with the Eufy solar powered cameras and am looking forward to having our entire “Security” set-up under the same ecosystem!
I love this dual camera doorbell! The battery option means it can be used anywhere within a base stations range! This is a great addition to the already great Eufy eco system! With package detection and package guard this will make them think twice before someone tries to grab your package. The quick reply feature is great too with a push of a button you can let the person at your door know your on your way with either a predefined message or live chat. The package guard goes off when someone unknown stays in frame to long using facial recognition. 10/10 would recommend!

It detects motion, provides fast notifications, can be tailored with multiple distance settings plus activity zones, smart person detection, and works with my existing doorbell. As a bonus, it detects and messages “packages being dropped off”, can notify you if you forgot to pick it up, and tells you when “package has been picked up”. The dual camera works well.
