Eufy: Smart Lock Touch & Wifi

Never have to worry about the cost and hassle of renewing physical keys. Now I can add my guests fingerprint and custom PIN then remove in no time. Also keeps track of who's coming and going since my property has multiple rooms. I do have two complaints however, 1 is that the battery life is rather short and the app is not super friendly. It maybe because of the number of people coming and going but the battery has lasted for 3 months which is not even half of the product claim.

The fingerprint sensor is absurdly fast, never have to do multiple attempts. Just touch your finger and it immediately responds. This really reduces the hassle of entering your house. I cannot convey how much of a convenience this is. Installation was straightforward as well. On the app side, setup was easy. In-built WiFi is great. But notifications are a hit and miss. Sometimes you get false warnings that the lock didn't properly close. At the least the logs are accurate when you are reviewing them. What I find odd is that you can completely wipe the lock just by having access to the QR code on the back of the lock, it doesn't even give a notification to the current app admin that the lock was reset. The real issue is the fact that the rechargeable battery pack charges via micro-usb, which is a very slow charge time leaving your lock inoperable for over 5 hours. Overall some teething issues and minor flaws for an otherwise good smart lock. Though I would keep my eye out for the new version with a camera in-built as well 'Video Smart Lock'.

I could never go back to not having a fingerprint based door lock. Also very happy that this runs on AA batteries. It's easy to connect it to your phone through Bluetooth and add additional people with their own fingerprints and their own pin numbers. If you have friends coming to stay you can give them their own pin number, you just have to set it up on your phone with Bluetooth to the smart lock.

Best feature set and performance in the market

Integrates perfectly with my Eufy security system with a great feature set including physical keys (access behind magnetised circular panel), long battery life with the ability to rapid recharge up externally if you did manage to flatten the battery and locked yourself out without the key. Like other Eufy items, battery life is tracked in the app with notifications. The fingerprint sensor is a great feature however mine briefly stopped working after two weeks, but a firmware update pushed out via the app fixed it and no issues since. Whatever the issue was, it degraded without impacting other functionality. Good addition to home

Fingerprint and codes entry is very good, and the app is very easy to use, particularly if you have other Eufy products already. Saves a lot of time fiddling for keys to open your door, and the custom codes are great for granting temporary access. Locking and unlocking through the app is very simple and installation is very quick and easy if you have an existing round deadbolt installed. Only fault is it can sometimes be fiddly to touch lock from outside as the bolt will sometimes try and unlock instead of locking, so you need to pay attention to the different tones. No issues when locking via the app or key though.

Great Product

After reading reviews I have decided to proceed with this product for my front door lock. Very good build quality, nice looking and easy to replace existing dead bolt. I do have finger prints registered for all my family members and it seamlessly unlock door faster even for my 8 year old. I like the feature where I can set it up to auto lock the door once I closed the door. Lock remains unlocked if I leave the door open. I wanted to go with new version of this with wifi support for remote unlock. But it is almost double the price of this. I can recommend this for anyone who is looking for a smart lock which does not required remote unlock. This only support remote unlock with bluetooth.

Incredible value and easy to install without a locksmith

Fingerprint access, keypad access for multiple guests or tradespeople, backup manual key and remote locking or unlocking from anywhere on the planet this device has it all! We called four locksmiths who said they were too busy to come, so I followed the instructions and did it myself with a screwdriver. The lock works wonderfully in conjunction with the EUFY wifi camera doorbell and shows up on an app with all devices working seamlessly. Highly recommended device and the company have a great tech support team as well if you get lost. Have purchased four EUFY products and aim to get more

Lives up to the praise

I watched a heck of a lot of comparison videos on youtube to determine what would be a good option and decided to go with this lock. I didnt think that the wifi really added much but in hindsight it would be useful to be able to lock and unlock my door from work - No big deal though. The lock was surprisingly easy to install, i just needed to swap around my existing doorhandle and deadbolt to make room for it. Setup was a breeze and once I had the fingerprint option up and running its been super handy. I really like being able to set up time limited users - so if I have someone house sitting they can have access for a limited period of time. Solid security option.

Overall I'm really happy with this lock. But first the things I feel that could be improved. I mostly bought this for the auto lock function and it works fine within it's limits. The scheduling function is quite basic though and doesn't allow different times for days of the week which would allow better flexibility during weekends, for example. The inside half of the lock is really big but this does seem to allow a solid mounting. The fingerprint reader has been mostly reliable but any water on it seems to upset it though you're never short of alternative ways to open it. Overall this thing seems robust and does the job.

The perfect solution if you lose your keys!

I have had this lock for over 12 months and only recharged the battery twice! The initial install using the deadbolt hole was simple and took less than 30 minutes. There is nothing better than not having to carry keys when you leave the house, and if you "think" you have forgotten to lock the door you can then check and lock on the app! Over-ride keys are a bonus and I have them stored at a friend's house for safe keeping.
