Awesome coffee grinderIt could be a bit quieter. Also, I wish the switch was different. Sometimes the whole grinder wobbles a bit when I flip the switch. In any case, even at this price, it is awesome, and I'd buy it again for sure. Retention and consistency are as good as advertised, and it obviously looks amazing

Exceptional customer service and fast shipping at Clive Coffee. The quality of this grinder feels solid and the only rattle is very minor coming from the anti-popcorn part of the hopper. I was concerned about the difficulty of grind adjustment and the noise level when pulling shots at 4 am. I was dialed in after 3 shots and the noise level didn't wake my sleeping dog. Im Finally making great espresso.

This is an amazing single dose grinder. The grinder has exceeded my expectations. Here is my story.I purchased and have been using my Eureka Mignon Specialita almost three years. Clive Coffee sent an email offer to trade-in my Specialita for an upgrade. I had to ask myself, Why I would want to trade-in a perfectly good working grinder? I graduated to single dose grinding almost a year prior, to improve consistency of my espresso shots. I keep coffee beans in a vacuum canister to preserve freshness. So, I decided to upgrade to the Pro Single Dose grinder.I'm writing this review after using the Oro Single Dose for several weeks. This is what I really like about the grinder.1. Speed, grinds 18 grams of beans in around six seconds.2. Very quiet. However, the ... MoreThis is an amazing single dose grinder. Speed, grinds 18 grams of beans in around six seconds.2. Very quiet. However, the included vessel to capture the grinds echos the grinding noise back up and also acts as a megaphone to amplify the noise. For six seconds, it is not an issue. Conical burr grinders that I have owned in the past were very loud and slow.3. Less mess than previous grinders. Very little grinds fall outside the capture vessel. Pouring the grinds from the vessel into the Portafilter can be very messy. I overcame the mess by turning the Portafiler upside down over the grinds vessel, then flipping both right side up tapping both on my tamping mat. Rotate the grinds vessel a couple turns and lift straight up. No mess?We are very happy with the upgrade to the Oro Single Dose. Better grinder, better espresso!

Everything I expected and more! I love the single-dose concept for accuracy and for keeping beans fresh. No downside for morning routine if beans are weighed in advance. Love the precise stepless grind adjustment. And—The chrome grinder is gorgeous! Thanks, Clive, for your advice and for your quick responses to chats.
This grinder works extremely well! The chrome, wood and angles are awesome! It is providing very low retention or often no measurable retention. The machine is quiet. The ergonomics with the dosing cup for putting it and the grinds neatly into the portafilter or for weighing is seamless. The grind is fast and smooth. There is no fumbling with the bellows. We are able to super quickly dial in the right grind with the large dial. Our pours hit our target weight and time numbers and refinements are a breeze. Most importantly the espresso shots are delicious and I'm detecting new pleasant coffee notes with roasts, that we consumed many times before on a previous grinder. Also, we received fantastic creative advice from our Clive Coffee consultant to help tailor the ... MoreThis grinder works extremely well! The chrome, wood and angles are awesome! I never really understood what people meant when they said the grinder is more important than the coffee maker itself when it comes to making espresso. Now that I have this awesome grinder I finally get it! Solid construction, easy to use, nice and quiet. Recommend!
I will start out with the positives on this grinder:1) Very fast2) Near-zero retention3) No RDT or bellows needed to get all the grinds out. There were a few drawbacks to this grinder:1) Excessively loud when running empty (62 db) and when grinding (83 db)2) It deposits a lot of coffee outside of the container making clean up a chore.
Total pain to unbox and set up - and then it does not work. At all. The phone support I got actually made it worse and one of the knobs came off in my hand as I was doing what I was told to do. Had to disassemble it, repackage it and send it back. Took about two weeks to arrive as well. Now I have no grinder and I have to wait until they decide to process the return credit.
Sprays grounds everywhere! Ross Droplet Technique (or RDT) not helpful because the coffee grounds are coming from the side of the hopper where the metal lever is (revolving metal tab).Tired of cleaning up after each use. Absolutely tired of it!
Upgraded from a Mignon Zero and a world of a difference. You can tell that this is their premium grinder. Build quality feels solid like a tank. Really heavy duty. Love the black look with the wood. I ended up getting the Clive dial in service for free since I grabbed the Pro 600 as well. Ended up trading in my GO and the process was super smooth and easy. Adjustments with the grind were pretty easy to dial in. I also noticed the knob isn’t as finicky as the Zero so that’s a plus. One problem I did come across is my grind yield/retention was way off. Over a gram and sometimes 1.5g. I contacted Clive and they simply told me to give my beans a spritz. Wasn’t really sure about this as I never had an issue with my Zero and I never sprayed my beans. But sure enough it ... MoreUpgraded from a Mignon Zero and a world of a difference. You can tell that this is their premium grinder. Build quality feels solid like a tank. Really heavy duty. But sure enough it worked! My yield has been spot on every time after that. Retention is great now. Every now and then it will be off by .1G but that is nothing to worry about. Shout out to Clive Coffee for the great customer service and really simple fix. Who would have thought. You guys have a customer for life here
