Buyer beware .... poor quality !!!

Overall VERY basic in its quality. Had to replace the bag swivel in under a week with the full metal version. The bag finish is now starting to crack after less than a month. Really disappointed with this item as it is becoming a money pit of replacements. My son loves it though while in these uncertain times. Returning/having it replaced, would be an inconvenience due to online freight times. While it looks OK in the home gym it’s not something that can be used in the way it is intended to be without it needing to be upgraded. Unfortunately the quality of this item is below average.

Swivel is bad, I swapped for better everlast one for $35. Works better. board and frame are cheap. I place a 15kg kettle bell on top to reduce board bounce. Ball lasted maybe 15min before it pooped with a solid left hook. After getting a new bag and swivel I would of spent the same amount as a good quality setup.

A sturdier arrangement had to be fashioned to stop the ball falling off its pivot.

Future boxers!

Fun piece od equipment that keeps my children busy! I like that it hangs from a brace attached to the "ceiling" or boards from above. Great add ons included, including glives and hand wrap. I would definitely recommend for a beginner!

Good starter bag, but definitely replace some parts
25 August 2019

This is a good starter set, but know that immediately should replace some stuff. The swivel, for one, should be changed out immediately...just buy the better one at the same time and don't even bother. Also the bag is a bit weird, I'd recommend keeping it to see if you like doing the speed bag (if it's for workouts), but upgrade to the true leather one very soon. Keep in mind both are medium sized bags and therefore rather slow...if you get the hang of it quickly you'll want a smaller one fairly quickly.Thing is, with this set, even if you buy it and replace the bag and the swivel, it's STILL cheaper than most speed bag sets. INSTALL THIS ON STUDS! Do not even attempt to install it with any type of drywall toggles (or straight in the drywall especially). If you install on studs like you're supposed to it's very solid and you can make it even more solid by getting a sand bag for the top.

Good starter kit for those interested in boxing.
18 June 2021

Good starter kit for those wanting to improve hand speed or just looking to add an additional piece to your home gym. Please be aware that there are no mounting screws to attach to the studs of your wall. Also make sure to measure to your height. If you're tall like me (6'3") this is an absolute must!! Also, I've read in some of the comments the bladder in the speed bag is unreliable. If that's the case order an additional bag incase of that mishap. Overall, its a good platform to begin with that can be modified.

Good starter speed bag set. Buy 6 lag screws
4 February 2023

I got this for my 14 year old son. You will probably need to mount this in your garage. To mount it, you need exposed wall studs 16” on center. You’ll need to buy six 1/4”x1-1/2” lag screws. You also might need longer carriage bolts. Otherwise it’s a good starter speed bag. Took about and hour to assemble and I have decent handy man skills.

Horrible horrible horrible
24 January 2022

My husband purchased this item. When he brought it home we began attempting to assemble it and came to find out there were screws missing. We had to take it back and get another one. Once we brought it home we began assembling it again. Let me tell you, the instructions for how to put this thing together is just horrendous and I don't know how everlast thinks it's acceptable. There aren't even any helpful tips and tricks on their website or anywhere on the internet. I hate this product and think very low of everlast because of it. Defiantly not shopping here again. You don't even get all the screws that you need to hang this dumb thing, you need to go out and purchase them yourself. It's worth about $19.99, not $99.99.

Not good quality
8 September 2019

I bought this to replace an old platform. 1st off the bracket is PLASTIC! But I have my own metal one so that wasnt a dealbreaker. What was, is the fact that the platform is cracked in 2 spots. It's like it's warped. I've had many platforms and bags. My first one was, in fact an Everlast. It was over a decade ago. Man they have gone downhill. I will never purchase anything everlast again. I already vowed years ago to never buy another Everlast speed bag again. The bags don't last very long. I'm taking it back.

You get what you pay for

The first thing to grab my attention was of course price. I saw the same exact kits being sold for 80$+ on other sites so I decided to execute and buy it here. Assembly was simple and the instructions were actually easy to follow. However be prepared to buy mounting gear . I mounted mine to the wall and ended up needing 6 lag bolts that are NOT included. It was about 4$. I go to use it for the first time and inflate the actual bag and start working out. I immediately noticed the bag losing air gradually with every punch until about 10 mins later when the bag would no longer bounce from being too flat. Also the swivel is plastic with an eye hook attached and a carabiner in the eye hook. This causes the bag to not have the proper bounce back that it should. I would recommend saving up an extra 70$ and get something like this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Everlast-Adjustable-Speedbag-Platform/10284793 with a leather bag. Good luck to you all .
