Literally can't make a fist. The thumb goes straight out. I wore these one time and threw them out. My hand would hurt less if I was bare knuckle.

I own the original P/U Powerlocks, the P/U Powerlock 2s, and several other leather gloves from other manufacturers. After putting in many rounds with these gloves and comparing them to the others, these are by far the best glove in my rotation and a tremendous value. I cant wait for them to get 16s in again!

I ordered the 1910 H&L gloves but they did not fit my hand well (and I have smaller hands) PL2 gloves fit great, have great padding, and are easy to take on and off when training alone. I don't see anything wrong with this model for fitness training and the cost is great for the quality

Its a good, comfortable and protective glove once you break it in. I feel that the weight could have been a little more balanced though. There is slightly too much weight on the hand and they could have brought that back a little more to the wrist. Just slightly not too bad.
I own white/grey powerlock 2's and they're comparable to the powerlock 1 but feel 3x more comfortable personally. currently using them for bag work and provide a good amount of wrist support and i love the color.
I have been teaching kickboxing with bags for over 2 years.. Most of The class time is spent directly hitting the bag. I have used other Everlast products that I have enjoyed but this is the 1st time that I have used a heavier mitt because the the ones in the store are usually 14 or 16 oz. I am under a 120 pounds pounds and 4'11" tall, so they were way too big. Imagine my joy when I started researching and found these in a10 oz. size! I have been using these 3 classes a week for several weeks so far, and I am still becoming accustomed to the extra weight (previously I only used fingerless gloves) but I have loved working directly sharing a bag with my students without my knuckles becoming raw. I have been using these 3 classes a week for several weeks so far, and I am still becoming accustomed to the extra weight (previously I only used fingerless gloves) but I have loved working directly sharing a bag with my students without my knuckles becoming raw. I have been wearing an off brand gel wrap which prevents the gloves from wiggling and collects some of the sweat. It also creates enough space that I can still wear my fitness watch higher up on my wrist under my gloves. These gloves provide solid wrist support, even without the wraps. They feel incredible, and I'm having so much fun with them!
These are my new favorite gloves. Unlike the original powerlocks, they feel a bit more broken in when you first get them and you don't have to put in too many rounds with them to be able to more easily open/close your first inside the glove. These are great for people who like less stiffness in the finger area of your glove. The wrist support is also very firm. All in all great .
16 oz - seem like great gloves for the price but the hand compartment is way too small. I'll be giving them to a friend's daughter who is taking boxing classes - they should fit her hands. I'm 6'1", 180lbs and wear size large winter gloves. I don't have heavyweight mitts. How about an option for a 16 oz L Everlast?
Got these in 14oz and use them as my everyday gloves. Mix of pad work, bag work and some occasional light sparring. I'm a small guy with small wrists so the wrist strap system is a LIFESAVER. Keeps your wrists straight and secure. Good mix of feedback and protection in the padding. Def my all time favorite gloves.
A really nice pair of gloves that I'm happy to have in my rotation. The wrist lock is really nice, to the point that I've often used these gloves without wraps. Fit is a bit snug, so size up if larger hands (or use a lot of wrap).
