Firm back support for sitting at a desk. "Bucket" kind of seat is comfortable to sit in, for the average bucket. There's a large screw underneath meant for hand twisting that adjusts the amount of "give" in the chair (how firmly it resists rocking), but the back is not adjustable. It is gas lift though. The handle for gas lift has the words "free/lock" on it with forwards-backwards arrows but the handle does not move forwards or backwards and I suspect the handle is used for other Artiss chairs that do. But, a very good chair and I use it at my desk all the time. Am sitting in it now.

I bought this chair for my husband for an early combined birthday and xmas birthday present. It is Perfect for sitting in front of his computer all day. The chair he was sitting on previously was so hard for him to get up from, since he is getting older. This chair is a breeze for him to get out of, I should have bought him one earlier.

As a person of 130kg in weight, it's hard to find a chair that is comfortable over an 8 hour day. I've been using this chair for two years and find it very comfortable. The seat is nice and soft and supportive. I don't get a numb bum after working for hours on end.I use the chair at max height adjustment and I'm 5' 10". There's lots of room to go lower.So far no problems with the wheels or gas lifter.Very happy I found this big chair for my big butt.

If you are looking for a chair to sit and work at a desk on a computer for minimum 5 hours a day, please refrain from buying this chair. It is not worth the price which I paid as advertised by Harvey Norman. Sitting on it for less an hour is enough to build up a backpain. This is a poorly designed chair for someone working on computers. Do yourself a favour and stay away from it!

The instructions are simple and easy to understand, and, most importantly, they are easy to follow. The only tools you need to assemble it are two allen keys and these are are included in the box. Pro: I am a large and tall man (186 cm, or,'six foot one') and the chair is quite comfortable for me. On the con side: A smaller person, under five foot, may not find that the stand off distance from the floor to the seat too comfortable: even with the tilt adjustment. I noted that when the chair was brand new, it was not too comfortable. Look: Product looks stylish and sophisticated. Friend though i spent $300. Adds class to any office space. High quality products. Easily worth the money for this alone. Assembly: Easy to assemble - although i assembled mine on a lean. Not sure if that's a design flaw, only a certain way it can go, but will remake and update results. Comfort: Not as comfortable as i thought based on other reviews. Could be a little more padding on the arm, been on it for 2 hours and elbows a bit sore. Practicality: Standard office chair functionality - But lifts off the ground if you lean right back feels like it will tip. Overall: 5/5 Very happy for price - will buy again for sure. If minor issues mentioned were fixed could demand much higher price.
When you see it - looks even better than in the picture. Really nice and high quality chair. Feels great too.The only surprising thing is that the top of it ends below my shoulders - not what one expects from the executive chair, unless it's a chair for kids :) But then again, I struggle to remember times when my head actually rested on a chair - so maybe designers considered that...
Was not happy with this chair. Once assembled, we found it to be crooked and of poor quality. Some of the sewn seams looked like they would unstitch and burst open quickly. There were also staples sticking out. Would not recommend.This is also why I would prefer to see the item on display in store instead of it being an online only product.
I ordered this Executive Office Chair and received it within 2 weeks. It is an absolutely stunning chair, beautifully crafted and of excellent quality. I highly recommend this product and the Black Swallow company for their outstanding fast and efficient customer service. I trust them completely and give 10 stars.
Chair is extremely uncomfortable in long sits in the chair and causes back problems, neck problems, shoulder issues. The chair is initally comfortable for the first 1-2 hours MAX in the chair. Any long durations 2hours+ and its extremely painful to sit in this chair. The hand rests are un-adjustable and do not fit under my desk for correct distance for arms to reach keyboard. The back cannot be adjusted and can cause back strain after long periods of time. Has no lumber support? I was told any issues I could swap it. I had issues after week one and was happy to swap it for floor stock as this chair was so uncomfortable. I contacted Harvey Norman over 10x and they kept saying "we'll get back to you"..."we cannot help you this week, we are busy".
