Great terrarium! Front opening doors are a huge plus. Im turning this into a large terrarium for Whites Tree frogs. My kit came with the lighting canopy top.

I ordered this Monday August 28 with petcos 3-5 shipping; well let's just say By Friday I was ordering this same product from Amazon paid $ 20 more but I had the product in 3 days. Petcos 3-5 shipppng took 18 days !!!!! Then I returned it to the store.Product itself is AMAZING perfect for our two chameleons until they out grow this.

I just bought and set this up and it is beautiful. My only complaint is that Petco store said my chameleon needs two lights. A heat light and also a uvb light. I have the heat bulb in now as I just brought the little guy home, but not sure what to do about the uvb light; am I to pop out the heat light during day and plug in the UVB and keep switching them. I thought of buying another light fixture, but cannot find one that is 12" accross. Suggestions?

Item was bigger than I thought it might be and that was good. I had only seen smaller versions in stores. It has a foam background looks like a rock wall. Very well made is heavier than one might think so get help especially upon deliver to home. I have wanted one for so long and Dr. Foster & Smith I knew if they had it would take care of me with easy ordering, great pricing and shipping/deliver that was worry free. I now have the amazing home I want for my Tree frogs to live in and they love it. Would recommend this to anyone looking for an environment for reptiles that need more room in a tall space so they can be towards the top.
I just purchased this habitat kit (size medium) for my new Crested Gecko. I am speechless at how beautiful it looks! Exo Terra is known for their high-quality products and this terrarium kit is no exception - it not only included a terrarium with awesome features but also a host of things you need to get started (plants, jungle vines, water dish, plantation soil). The foam background looks very real and I love that it is 3-D so my Crestie can easily climb up it. The light fixture fits perfectly and works great, the top screen locks securely in all 4 corners, and I really love the easy front access with doors that swing open separately. The thermometer and hygrometer are just plastic, so I don't expect those to last forever; however, they both work fine so I will use ... A complaint is that the jungle vine is very hard to bend and twist and was difficult to secure to the glass, since it doesn't come with any means by which to attach it. It is made of cheap foam that flaked brown stuff all over my floor. Also, one of my plants came with a broken suction cup. However, these two negative points are nothing compared to how pleased I am with the terrarium overall, and the kit was a great deal! My terrarium looks just like one of those perfect exhibits in the reptile room at the zoo. I can't wait for my gecko to grow big enough to live in this. The medium terrarium is the perfect size for an adult Crestie!*Special note: the green kidney-shaped bowl in the photo was not included with the kit, I bought it at Petco to use for food.
This terrarium was ordered for my sons crested gecko. It is the perfect size, Good value. Hood is very nice, bulbs not included. We previously ordered this through a different company and it arrived with the glass shattered. Their return process was a hassle and we lost money on shipping since I did not opt to reorder through the same service. I spoke to a Foster and Smith rep and they said they would add some extra packaging to give it a better chance of arriving in good condition. THEY DID A TERRIFIC JOB! Thanks so much, Foster and Smith, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I bought this a month ago for 1xmale and 3 female crested geckos and it's perfect. Plenty of room, places to hide and I love the front door opening. The light it comes with only takes up to 25 watts so it wouldn't be good for anything requiring high heat but for these guys it's fantastic! Just a couple of regular 25 watt bulbs for viewing and to provide the proper light and dark cycle my cresties need and we're good to go!
The kit comes with everything you need to make a quick start into arboreal New Caledonian geckos, such as crested geckos. It comes with nice fake plants and all the basics to get started if you aren't concerned with a bioactive setup. I, however, reimagined this kit as a bioactive enclosure. It is the perfect size for a single crested gecko, has great ventilation, holds humidity well, and I love the compact florescent hood! If you use 60-watt equivalent LED bulbs in the hood, you get all the light you need to grow live plants in the terrarium. I could not be more pleased with this enclosure.
While shipping took a couple weeks (local FedEx took awhile since it is a larger item) it only took a week to get from CA to KY and arrived in one piece. Only complaint is how poor quality the styrofoam background is but I plan on leaving it in since it does seem like it'll be nice for the crested gecko to climb on and hide in the little crevices.The plants are a bit sharp and the vines shed little peices. You do also have to buy the lightbulbs for the top piece (which isn't attached to the lid) so they make sure you get the correct ones for whatever animal you're housing. Overall it's pretty much what I expected.
Very well made, the only thing I wish that the lock for the doors was easier for kids to use. I feel like it will not last. But Everything else fits together very nice. When ours came in the mail. One door was broken. A new one was shipped to our door at no costs or hassle. I would recommend this to anyone.
