Works great! Fits in the back of my Subaru Forester well. I've slept on it plenty and best sleep I've gotten when car camping. Takes a little effort to inflate but I used an inflate bag from another sleep system and was able to inflate pretty quickly. Love how small it packs down. Big fan of the dual valve system. I'm a side/stomach sleeper and haven't had any issues with weird pressure points nor circulation issues. I'm 6'1" and have been able to fit pretty well. Maybe not quite as luxurious as something longer, but I've been plenty comfy and don't feel like I contort my body at all to fit, even in the back of my car. I've had a friend or two use it in the house when they've come to visit and they gave rave reviews as well! Overall really satisfied and glad I made ... MoreWorks great! I bought this because my partner and I were going on our first camping trip together, and he didn?t have a sleeping pad. I bought the medium size and had an immediate butt-clench, ?this is too small? moment until it arrived and I set it up in the living room for a trial run. That ?trial run? lasted a week. I?ve been house-sitting for a couple months, and this pad gave me a better sleep on the floor than the bed. As someone used to sleeping on a queen bed at home, this is actually a really comfy ?solo? mat.I?m 5?4?, and have a tendency to burrow on a good night, so scooting down the mat and having my feet dangle off the bottom is comforting. I?m also on the round end of the spectrum, but my partner (5?6?) and I were able to sleep comfortably and NOT on top of each ... MoreI bought this because my partner and I were going on our first camping trip together, and he didn?t have a sleeping pad. It probably got down into the mid-40s overnight, and between the mat and the doubled sleeping bags we were warm enough. I definitely feel like the mat reflects heat back toward the body. It?s also been great to have a spare spare bed. My brother came to visit with an injured back and was unable to sleep on an actual bed, but the mat provides enough that he was able to use it on the floor during his stay.

Summer camping in Oregon. Worked great. I followed all of the instructions and got solid sleep on this thing. We got the larger size and it fit perfectly in our 4p tent. My gf also got great sleep on it. I think I’m gonna buy the hand pump for next time.I’m not a backpacker, but this thing would be too big for someone counting grams.

This is easily the best 'camping extravagance' purchase I've made in years. Spent 8 nights camping in Pembroke during a cold spell in September and can't fault the mat for comfort and warmth - it was more comfortable than any bunkhouse or hostel bed I've used and I slept very well, and warmly too. This is strictly for car campers though as it's about the same size as a 30L rucksack when compressed, and you will almost certainly need a 3-man tent to comfortably inflate and deflate it. The mat will work well for couples who don't fidget too much in their sleep but will be a squeeze if you like to spread out or are on the taller/wider side. The only reason I've not given the mat the full 5 stars is that the foam on one half of the mat still appears to be quite ... MoreThis is easily the best 'camping extravagance' purchase I've made in years. The mat will work well for couples who don't fidget too much in their sleep but will be a squeeze if you like to spread out or are on the taller/wider side. The only reason I've not given the mat the full 5 stars is that the foam on one half of the mat still appears to be quite compressed even though I followed the instructions about inflating it and leaving it to self-inflate for 24h when I first got it. This is still the case having deflated and reinflated it a few times, with the result that the mat doesn't uniformly self-inflate and is a bit less supportive on one half of it, but I haven't found the compressed foam to have compromised warmth or comfort. Overall, if you've got the cash to spare and plan to camp for more than just a couple of nights with your partner, this will significantly improve your quality of sleep.
I absolutely love this mattress. I bought it to put on top of an uncomfortable convertible couch and it works great and stores lengthwise underneath and behind it. Rolled it up and threw in the car to take to my girlfriend's house to sleep on her floor and slept like a baby. It's a little wide for the back of my car fully inflated but works great folded in half. Couldn't be happier with how quick it self inflates after first use.
I have used this sleeping pad on a two night camping trip and I'm so pleased with my purchase. After extensive research on double sleeping pads, I decided on the Exped Duo 7.5. It's easy to inflate and deflate and while it is bulky, it's not difficult to get back into it's sack when not in use. For this reason, it's perfect for car camping or even throwing out on the floor at home, but not realistic for back packing. I love the texture of the top fabric. I'm able to set up and take down by myself even with my small lady hands. I never felt the ground or needed to add additional air after initial setup, but my boyfriend said his hip did dig down a bit when he was on his side. There was plenty of room for both of us! I found the pad to be quite firm. When given the choice between firmer or softer, I definitely prefer a firm base, so that's a plus. That being said, I am interested in looking into an additional foam topper to put on top of this pad (I have chronic neck/back issues so I always wake up sore, no matter how good the sleeping pad is. I think some extra foam would help me here.) I definitely recommend this item!
I have had this for about three weeks now. I have managed to get quite a bit of use out of it in those weeks. Two of which were me car camping/quarantining after a trip to Alaska. Oh my god this is way more comfortable than my sleeping pad and the foam pad I used to use for car camping. Once you get the firmness just right I slept as well as I would in my bed. When I got the car parked i just unrolled it, opened the valve and left it while I set up camp and cooked some food. I put two or three breaths into it after to get it to my desired firmness and it remained that way for two weeks. I found that rolling it up is a bit of a process, but if you just take it slow it'll get done. I bought this recently after hearing friends rave about their Exped. I was looking for a good mattress for 2 people, mostly car camping and local trips. As a side sleeper it’s hard to find something comfortable and I was also totally over cheap air mattresses that leak or go flat after a season. This mattress fulfilled all my expectations. I can’t believe how easy it is to roll up back to its bag size. I didn’t have a pump so we didn’t add air but after leaving it to inflate for a few hours it was great. Having the pump to add a bit of air was even better when we used it a second time.Great investment. The Moosejaw employee also told me they have fantastic customer service, while I haven’t had to use it, it was good to know and hear if something comes up in the ... MoreI bought this recently after hearing friends rave about their Exped. This will no doubt be used for kid sleepovers too!
This is a great sleeping pad. Easy to inflate and very comfortable for sleeping. The medium is great for two if you are ok sleeping close, if you need more space I would definitely get the larger size. Only negative is that this needs to be stored flat with the valves open (per Exped) so kind of takes up a lot of space. (Though this would be true for all the self inflating pads I think).
I purchased this in 2020 looking to update my sleep system. I can confirm it has REVOLUTIONIZED our sleep while camping. Exped makes fantastic and durable sleeping mats. The size is great for 2 adults, plus a >2 child in the middle. It gets a bit crowded when you add a second baby. It's very comfortable and is fairly compact for the overall size. Definitely worth the money and if you don't enjoy sleeping in your tent this will definitely change that. The only con is the size. Even rolled up, it is a significant size. Outside of that, it's been great.
