Good quality and comfortable mat! I am also a fan of the inflation bag - it works well, and inflates the mat quickly. My prior mat was also a similar (older) Exped that had an inbuilt handpump which I always found very tedious to inflate. This new inflation bag is just great as it is so quick and easy, not to mention doubles as a waterproof stuff sack, and the mat is so comfy to sleep on. Recommend this item.

We have yet to try out our new Exped Dura 5R Duo Expedition LW Sleeping Pad on an overnight camping trip, but have inflated it and tried it out in our living room. We had an earlier and light version Exped Duo pad which we've taken on many backcountry trips. It eventually wore out so this is the replacement. We've gone with the warmer version as I sleep cold and since our joint backpack trips are likely to be short the extra weight will be manageable. Looking forward to trying it out soon.

My partner and I bought this in spring 2022. We've had about 50 nights on it so far and are happy with it. Our First trip was a two week bikepacking trip, second trip was a work camp, so I wasn't rolling it up every night, it held up great. We use it with a double quilt, and have the best backcountry sleeps. This pad prioritizes durability over ultralight weight. In the past I used straps to connect regular sleeping pads, this is much more comfortable.-We're medium sized humans, and the regular size is just big enough, consider a wide version if the weight doesn't bother you/it'll fit in your tent.-Fully close the valve covers or it'll leak.-Comes with repair kit and inflation bag. Requires about 3 bags of air per side.-Keep it a little under inflated for comfort.

Needed a 2-person sleeping pad for backpacking. Chose this over the Exped Ultra Duo for the added durability since we use it with our dog, as well as for the significant increase in R-value. It is on the heavy side, but we don't have to carry 2 pads and the weight is worth the tradeoff for the warmth and durability. Inflating with the included sack is fast and easy, and no issues with leaking so far even though we let our dog walk on it. Love the separate chamber system — makes it very easy to dial comfort for different sleep styles, since I like my side more inflated than my partner's, and we don't feel each other shifting during the night. It's also one of the quieter pads I've slept on.We bought the Long Wide — it's plenty of space for 2 + a small dog, but it ... MoreNeeded a 2-person sleeping pad for backpacking. My wife and I have been using an older Exped Synmat Hyperlite Duo for backpacking and car camping for 5+ years now but wanted something a tad bigger. It perfectly fits our Model Y! I also tested the "long wide" variant but doesn't fit as it's too wide. I highly recommend getting this one if you plan on car camping in the Model Y. It weighs a lot more than our Hyperlite Duo so I don't recommend it for backpacking.
This two person camping mat makes a perfect addition to our setup. Single mom who takes my autistic kiddo out on adventures. Two large adults or medium size adults and a small child if you go sleep in a 3 person tent. Would probably touch edges in a two man tent 🤍 aksnochick
I needed a duo to sleep in my SUV (Honda CRV). It fits tight but well. The tapered bottom and rounded corners help. I love the fact that it has separate air chambers so functions as a solo as well. It's a comfortable mattress with some insulation, so works fine for car camping.
I ordered this mat and the synmat duo to compare. The valve system on the dura is amazing. It remains really flushed to the mat and I couldn't feel the valves while laying on it. I wish it was positioned underneath the mat like in the synmat duo though. The construction is also very thick. I'd have no worries about this getting punctured by twigs or from laying in the dirt and sand. It's also very quiet. Rolling around doesn't make any squeaking noises at all.The inflation sack could be tapered at the opening a bit though. While inflating, it's a bit tricky to avoid having air escape from the opening. But that's a minor issue.I also wish it packed a bit smaller. I understand that with it being 75D nylon it was going to be quite thick, but I didn't expect it to be ... MoreI ordered this mat and the synmat duo to compare. Granted this is the LW version and the synmat that I also ordered is the regular duo version.Overall quite happy with it. I'd rather have peace of mind that it won't get a hole for the trade off in pack size.
Have used it twice since purchase. It's very comfortable for me and my partner, and has kept us quite warm with temps in the 30s. (We use sleeping quilts, so the sleeping pad is extra important for keeping us warm). We haven't used it on snow. It rolls up pretty tight and easily, don't need to struggle to fit into it's bag. The part I love best is how easily the caps fit into and out of the air-fill opening: they are snug and solid, but not a struggle! The materials are very tough, which is good for peace of mind (don't need a puncture miles from civilization). The schnozzles bag is very quick to use (less than three fills for each side), and I like keeping my night clothes in it in my pack.
I used this for backpacking, I should have got the 40 in (significantly shorter) vice 49 in, it was a little big for my tent. It was very comfortable and worth the extra weight. A little heavy for backpacking. I never got the knack of their fancy blow up bag, so it took me a little while, but pretty cool blow up device. Very expensive if compared to a household blow up mattress.
