Exped Ultra 6.5R Mummy Sleeping Mat

A four season inflatable sleeping mat designed for backpackers and bikepackers who need strong warmth, dependable comfort, and a compact pack size on demanding trips. The Ultra 6. 5R uses Exped’s Synmat Plus Technology, combining recycled synthetic microfibre insulation with a layer of reflective foil to deliver efficient thermal performance without adding bulk. With an ASTM R value of 6. 9, it meets the brand’s recommendation for reliable year round use, including winter conditions. The outer fabric is a recycled 20 D ripstop polyester recognised by bluesign, laminated with a polyether TPU film for durability and long term performance. A rectangular profile with Cradle Comfort shaping offers raised outer baffles for stability, while the 6. 5 cm thickness provides supportive cushioning on uneven ground. Two flat valves make inflation and deflation straightforward and robust, and the included Schnozzel pump bag enables quick, moisture free inflation. The pack size remains compact for ease of carrying on foot or by bike. Bluesign approved materials and recycled content support responsible production. Overall, this mat offers an excellent balance of warmth, weight, and durability for year round mountain nights.
