Been using this little streamer for just over 2 weeks now and it is just PERFECT. User friendly and easy to set up and use. I wish I had bought a ROKU in the beginning years ago, instead of an Amazon Fire TV. The romote is very well made with a definate feel to the buttons. It is only just over two weeks but I just feel this is going to be much better than the Amazon ones I have owned in the past which I kept having problems with a non-responsive remote and having to keep resetting it.

It's fine if you just want it to stream things like Netflix but I bought this specifically for AirPlay and it doesn't work. My phone cannot see this device. AirPlay doesn't work. HomeKit doesn't work. The Roku app doesn't work. Traded it in for another in store thinking it was defective. New one doesn't work. Roku offers NO support for theses devices. Waste of money.

We went on a vacation and hit a patch of rain. We ordered the Roku to use in our hotel. It was little hard to hook up- not because of the Roku, but because of the way hotels set up their televisions. Once we figured out how to do it, the Roku worked flawlessly and we were able to watch everything we wanted. Having a Roku made a rainy day on vacation much better! I am so happy we purchased it and I will keep it in our travel bag for future trips.

Good for turning non smart tv into smart tv. That part works without any issues. 5 stars for this part.The not so good:1) I specifically asked the Bestbuy salesperson if I can play my videos from a usb stick or external ssd on this Roku Express 4K Media streamer because my tv's usb socket was broken and was assured this is what I needed. However when I brought it home and set it up there is no usb port to insert the media. With youtube help I found a usb hub/ethernet adapter device on amazon that does allow me to do this, although with undesired extra cost. 1 star for Bestbuy training employees about products it sells.2) The Roku Media Player app is very limited to types of video formats it can play. Picture quality is excellent.One thing to note: On my Sony Bravia 900F, the Roku would not recognize HDMI port 3 (on side of TV) as supporting 4K HDR. Even forcing the config did not work. I had to plug it into the passthrough connector on my sound bar, which is plugged into the ARC HDMI port on my TV. After doing this, the Roku automatically configured to 4K HDR. Strange.
I'm on a budget and have an entry level Panasonic 4k edge lit smart TV running android TV. Being a slow processor the Android TV experience if absolutely terrible - Android TV on higher spec TVs is fantastic but this TV can't handle it, laggy and slow to the point of inoperable. So once again it's roku to the rescue! Hdr10 4k content has really made the most of the panel and has saved me from the expense of changing my TV. The speed and simplicity of operating combined with ease of set up and the clean, uncluttered, customisable home screen make this my favourite streaming platform. I have two older roku units on my home network that work fine. I purchased a third unit for an extra tv but the first unit , after many tries, reboots etc told me my password wouldn’t allow a connection. I returned it for a second express unit and encountered the same problem with no work arounds. This unit will be going back as well. I may give up on Roku after this experience. You shouldn’t have to jump through many hoops and waste time troubleshooting for a plug and play product that tell you signal strength is excellent on your identified network 10 feet from the router!!
Really enjoying this streaming stick - no more having to hook my computer up to the TV to watch CBC GEM and library items on Hoopla and Kanopy. And then discovered so many other free streaming options. And the quality is so much better, and the streaming faster, than on my old smart TV. My only complaint is that ROKU needs to make clearer in their product description the difference between the stick and the box: both plug into the HDMI port, both then need to be plugged into the wall, though the stick has the option to draw power from your TV's USB port (but this is not recommended by ROKU as this can slow down the streaming). When I learned the difference I chose the stick, because if I need to free up an outlet, I can always try the USB port and see what happens.
I purchased a Roku Express 4 eight days ago. I followed all the instructions to the point of connecting it to my internet. When I tried to use the remote, there was no response. It would not follow any command I gave it. I followed all the instruction and troubleshooting to get it to work. Still nothing. I did purchase a two year warranty plan and registered it. So we'll see what kind of response I get from them. I'm disappointed but not mad. I know ¹things happen. The Sales Assistant at Wal-Mart said I could return it if it wasn't the right product that I wanted, not if it didn't work. Hopefully the warranty program will replace it. I'm sitting here with no TV.
