Bought this for my just turned 5 year-old. Great product. Allows him to "ski" without fear of falling off and, with varying speeds, provides different challenges. Manufacturer recommends a max speed of 10 mph (probably based on lawyer recommendation), but we regularly use it at 20 mph without difficulty. Has built-in skis that allow for some level of control. Handle for skiier is attached directly to device, so young kids don't have to "pull" their own weight. If you have a young child that may have trouble learning to ski, this is a great transition and really allows them to become comfortable with being pulled behind the boat. Highly recommended. My son literally jumps out of bed in the morning to use it and can't stop smiling when he is using it.

Finally got my 4yo on skis, sorta. Overall we are very happy with this purchase. My daughter is very proud of the fact that she's a big girl skiing like mom and dad. A few weeks ago we finally got her on a 2 person tube which got her over the fear of being towed behind the boat. The next week we finally talked her into riding her ski after my godson who is 6 took it out and loved it. My suggestion to those purchasing this for your child is to follow the same progression as us. The best thing about the ez ski trainer is the seat. When my daughter gets a little off balance or hits some rough water she just sits down. This has given her a lot of confidence thus far. The next best thing is the dual handles so that if she falls the person holding the handle in the boat ... MoreFinally got my 4yo on skis, sorta. Overall we are very happy with this purchase. The next best thing is the dual handles so that if she falls the person holding the handle in the boat just let's go so you never have to worry about them trying to hang on and getting dragged. The only thing I was disappointed in is the lack of control the skier or rider has. The kids can make it go back and forth a bit but not much. This is due to two factors I think. First the ripe is attached to the ski so it's very hard to point it any direction except at the back of the boat. Second it's a tube so what can you expect. I think I may try removing the rope from its attachment point on the tube at some point to see if this will give them more steering ability and help them get used to the pull of the boat.

Great quality and fantastic tube. My boys, 6 & 4, are both a little timid trying new and loved this tube. It really helped calm their nerves with skiing at a young age. By the end of the summer they quit asking to tube and only wanted to go skiing. Love how much it helped their confidence. My 10 year old niece tried it and she was able to ski no problem, but thought it was to slow and boring. My 2 1/2 year old niece also used it and had big smiles the hole time. They all hit waves and didn't fall down. We went about 10-15 mph with the older kids 5-7 mph with my 2 1/2 niece. No one feel off.

I purchased this for a long 4th. of July week on Lake Conroe, Tx. Three (3) families totaling (5) kids ages 5 - 6 1/2 staying with us. They all mastered it and had so much more fun than riding the towable "sofa" behind the boat. It's fun to see them get back in the boat full of pride, high-fiving and talking about how fast they went. I like that they can sit down when it gets too rough. I also like that they are learning the process of boat coming about and being picked up or climbing back on the trainer by themselves. Very pleased indeed.
I thought about buying this product last year when my daughter was 4, but was discouraged by the over $200 price tag. I also figured that she would be on trainer skis soon enough that I wouldn't get much use from the EZ Ski Trainer. I finally decided this year to buy it , on sale at $179, when she still couldn't get up on the trainer skis and I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy this sooner. It's fantastic!!! Yesterday I took her out and she got so comfortable on it that she kept wanting us to speed up. I also now see that when we are done with this product we will have no problem selling it our lake community. The EZ Ski is a nylon outter with a blowup inner vinyl part. I highly recommend this product.
So awesome! This is ideal for small kids. My 4yo was up and riding this in no time. Outstanding product, could not be more satisfied with it. I have used it for kids from 4-10 and they have all loved it. That's a 4yo girl riding in the video behind a 23' boat!
This little EZ ski is so much fun. Our granddaughter turned 3 last week and she loves it. Stays balanced really well. Even coming up to the boat. The rope is safe as someone is hanging on to the other end in the boat so we can let go if she does fall off or get caught up. So glad we purchased this. More kids coming up. And it seems as safe or safer than the tube for little ones.
This was a great beginning for transitioning to a ski trainer and eventually to skis. The child does not sink and confidence is built quickly. The rope is not attached to the boat but is held by the spotter. I would suggest that before putting the child on this ski trainer behind the boat that the child get comfortable with it in the water first. It's good to have him(her) fall off on purpose to get used to that feeling. My grandson fell off at the end when the boat stopped and we had to work hard to get him to try again. Once he realized that falling off just mean he was floating in the water, he was fine.
I purchased this for our granddaughter to use on our vacation in Deep Creek MD. She is six years old and this was her first time skiing. She loved it and could not get enough. At about $100 this was money well spent since it made her vacation one to remember. She was so proud of her new ability to water ski. The ski trainer seems safe, well made, and should last a long time. It also gives the child the confidence to advance to actual water skiing. I am very happy with this purchase.
We have had this towable for a couple of summers and it has been a great way of building confidence in my kids as they learn to be towed behind the boat. This towable does not tie onto the back of the boat instead an adult holds on to ski handle standing in the boat. This means that you will need to move at a slower speed and the driver needs to warn the adult holding of any adjustments in speed or sudden stops. The child on the EZ ski holds on to their own ski handle and they can either sit or as they get more confident they can stand. My 4 year old started on the EZ ski and I really feel it helped him get confident behind the boat, he has now graduated to knee boarding but this was a great start.
