I bought this rather than new secateurs and loppers as they were blunt and nobody local sharpens garden tools. This gadget did the trick, my garden tools are like new. Works very well.

This is such a cheaply made item i was repulsed. The motor is so weak it stalls when applying even the slightest pressure to sharpen the chain. The abrasive wheel attachment is rubbish and cannot be adequately tightened by hand and the file constantly creeps outwards and eventually falls off. The first 2 minutes of use showed me this product was destined for the rubbish bin....not even given away.

I wanted I diamond file to solve a problem I have at work to remove 0.02mm variation, unfortunately being plastic, it is too flexible and not 'man enough' for the job, however for sharpening knives at home, it should be ideal.

I used this to sharpen some secateurs after following some tutorial videos on the Gardening Australia website. It was easy to use and did a good job. My secateurs cut cleanly now!
The grit all washed off the third I used this tool. Not sure if it was water or cutting oil, but some common liquid in the shop attacks the adhesive.If you use this, make sure everything is clean and dry.The backer is very flimsy, I purchased for doing quick touch ups on cutting tools, the lack of stiffness makes it impractical for this use.It is also a bit pricey considering the size.
I have had these sharpening tools for many years and given them to others. They are very effective and versatile. Will sharpen scissors,knives of course and even secateurs. For my money they are the best way to keep a really sharp even edge on our kitchen knives
These honing sticks are indispensable around the shop. They're thin so you can get into tight spots and sharpen or deburr edges on all sorts of stuff, and they can last longer if you keep them clean.
I wish I'd bought one of these decades ago! It's easy and quick to use, and has breathed new life into my woodworking chisels. I've tried several ways to sharpen kitchen knives, but again this lap produces the best results.
Great quality for the price. I use it to to put small radius on boring bars and other custom tooling. Probably wont have to, but would buy again if needed.
This is my second set of handheld diamond sharpeners. I use the medium and the fine. I keep one set in my stained glass studio and another in the tool box. They are so handy! I use them to sharpen garden tools like loping shears and hand pruners - smooth nicks/chips on the edge of glass items, sharpen fish hooks. They last forever! My first set has seen a lot of use and is over 20 years old!!
