Face Wash by Cetaphil, Healthy Radiance Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser,

I have several skin concerns and it is difficult for me to find a good cleanser. I have mature, very dry skin that tends to break out. I find that having a cleanser with a gentle exfoliator is a game changer for me. I'm always trying different products and Cetaphil came highly recommended. This is a clear cleanser that lathered very well, it did not strip my skin but didn't add any moisture to it either. I find that it effectively removed makeup and left my skin feeling very refreshed. Cetaphil healthy radiance exfoliates by way of It's ingredients as opposed to an actual scrub and/or scrubbing granules which I did not detect in the product. I have been using this product once a day for approximately 2 weeks, I will continue to use this product until it is done and adjust my review accordingly.

I love using this cleanser . I struggle with hyperpigmentation post acne flair up and I noticed using this consistently my dark spots have cleared up. The textures is more on the watery side compared to most face washes I used . I did not have any irritation or sensitivity while using the products . It doesn’t have a chemical smell which is nice . Overall I love it .

It is formulated for ultra sensitive skin, they have it ranked on a scale of 1-5 so you can easily see that on the front of the bottle. It is unscented, it is light and lathers well and leaves your skin feeling clean but not like the oils have been stripped from your skin and it doesn't feel like it damages the moisture barrier at all. I eyed this product at the store, but ultimately bought it after seeing it on a "Mixed Makeup" video (skincare blog/expert). It's aimed towards people who want to exfoliate their face and even their skin tone, but that may not be able to tolerate harsher acids/exfoliating acids. It moderately lathers, but a little goes a long way! I use the same bottle for over 2 months. I have sensitive, very dry skin, and this product left my skin a tiny red immediately after application. However, that redness disappeared after about 3 minutes (so no biggie). I found it works better (for dry skin) when you use it as part of a double cleanse. I used an oil based cleanser to remove my makeup first, then went in with this afterwards. Allergenic ingredients

I like the Cetaphil Extra Gentle Daily Scrub, but wanted to try the PHA for improving skin texture. However, I had an allergic reaction to the Healthy Radiance Gentle PHA Exfoliating Cleanser after one single use. It is 24 hours later and my skin is still inflamed and itching. I compared the ingredients between the two formulas, and I'm not sure if it is the PHA (gluconolactone) itself or all the plant extracts in the Healthy Radiance formula that is allergenic.

Runny, Dry skin, and acne breakouts

I was looking for a dupe of a neutrogena cleanser that was discontinued, and like this one, this cleanser had PHA as its active ingredient. I didn’t know what a runny cleanser would feel like, but now I unfortunately do. I could be standing still in the shower away from the water, and within 5 seconds the light foam will still find its way to my eyes (burning) and my mouth (gross taste). Whereas other cleansers sit ob my face and let me move around. Right after I turn the water off, my face feels very dry. Despite all this, im now getting acne again when it used to be controlled. Its been about a month now. I don’t recommend this PHA or the Salicylic acid cleanser.

This stuff works great for me!

I use this once a day while in the shower for at least 30-60 seconds. The consistency is very runny but it feels good while I’m using it and makes my skin so soft afterwards. I also have a few scars on one cheek that have been slowly fading prior to using this product but after using this cleanser for a couple nights, I’ve noticed my skin is significantly brighter and more even. Didn’t cause me any redness or breakouts even though I have pretty sensitive skin.

Vacation insecurity

My face was looking pretty clear and on the mend for a bit, then I decided to use the exfoliator once in the shower and my face had gradually worsened over the next few days and now in absolute pain. Last night, I double cleansed with La Roche’s cleanser specific for sensitive dry skin, and the rest of my skincare routine, with barely relief. Aquaphor had to be applied overnight. I’m so upset about it since my goal was to clear up my skin for my upcoming vacation..

Wasn’t For Me

This face wash made me breakout after a couple uses. My skin also became very day and started flaking in random spots. For my sensitive dry skin I use Cerave moisturizing face wash daily, but I wanted to try something different for once because I don’t typically use an exfoliant and this had pretty good reviews for helping fade acne scars. I’m sure it’s good for some people but it just wasn’t for me for sure. I went back to my Cerave after a week or so, and my skin cleared up in a few days no more flaking either.
