Fancy feast salmon - the first time I bought the variety pack that this flavor was included in, my cat absolutely loved it! So much that I decided to buy just the salmon flavor pack for next time. When it came in and I fed waffles his first can he wouldn’t eat it at all. I continue to try meal after meal and he won’t touch it, after looking more carefully I noticed white granules in the food. I think it is a bad batch, if possible would you be able to refund? :(

I had my cat tested for allergies and she is allergic to chicken. She is having injections three times a week. I’ve been searching for a cat food that does not contain chicken, flax, rice, spinach.. description states contains turkey. I really should have checked with the company first before ordering, but my bad, I did not. When I checked with purina, I found out that it, indeed, does contain chicken. I donated the food to the cat shelter. I’ve learned my lesson..to check with the manufacturer before purchasingI would recommend it to people whose cats don’t have allergies. My cat loved it.

I always start new foods slowly with her since I do not know if she will like it or not. If the food will agree with her or not. So, I put a little bit of the Fancy Feast Savory Salmon Fest in her dish and she was looking at me " where is the rest mom!" So I gave a little more, again she is looking at me "don't stop, I want the rest". Needless to say, she gobbled, inhaled, gorged the whole can in matter of minutes.

I have been feeding this type and brand of canned cat food for many years! (20+ years for my eldest Scottish Fold) As soon as the shortage came when Covid hit us my eldest would eat a spoonful and then a few minutes later would run to the cat box with loose stool. I thought it might just be an infection, or her gut was getting sensitive due to age. I put it on the shelves for the outside feral cats. I had built a catio for the new feral pregnant cat and I thought I would give her a treat along with her regular kitten food and even SHE wouldn't touch the Fancy Feast pate, both Salmon & Shrimp and just plain Salmon Pate! I tossed 4 cases of wet food. Winner! Winner! Salmon dinner. I swear my cat can smell the food through the can. I took it out of the cabinet & he magically appeared. Meowing to beat the band. I opened the can, put it on the plate & he started standing up trying to get to it. Once I put it down he was all over it. Klaus is very finicky and apparently, a pescatarian. He will not any meat products. Turns his nose up at. Unless it's fresh chicken from our dinner plate, then all is ok.He loves this flavor of Fancy Feast, as you can see. I like it because it gets him great nutrition. I like to give him wet food at least once a week, as that is recommended for male cats to avoid UTI. This Fancy Feast Grain Free Pate Wet Cat Food, Classic Pate Savory Salmon Feast is heading in the right direction but could be better. I like that the can is recyclable and how it has a tab we can pull back on to open it up. It makes it easier to open and it's great that it does not have any artificial preservatives or colors in it! It is not good or healthy though that it has meat by-products in it. If it was made with healthier ingredients, then it would be wonderful! I gave half a can to my 9 month old male kitten and the rest to my 12 year old female cat. The kitten was immediately interested and ate every bit I gave him.My female, who normally only likes dry food or gravy based wet foods actually ate her half right away too. I was shocked! It appeared to be a moist food but no actual gravy liquid. The scent was the average cat food smell but only right next to it so it wasn't a problem for me.I will definitely be getting more as treat foods for my cats now that I know even my picky female liked it!

They always love fancy feast but we give them another brand normally (see my above comment) but I was asked to product test this for my opinion so I gave this a try. While I will say that my cats ate this quickly and loved it, I don't like the fact that it is really small compared to other brands of the same product. That's why I took away 1 star because of that fact but other than that, my cats gobbled this up quickly and loved it. Hard to share this between 3 cats but I made do.It was easy to open and easy to cut up between the cats and I like the application as well as the look of it. My cats approved of the taste because they finished it fast!
My cats have always enjoyed this pate variety however, one word of caution. Salmon by itself is just too rich, feed half and half with chicken pate (no need to mix, I think the kitties like the different flavors) and only feed small portions. I think you and the kitties will be happier if you go with 1/4 can salmon and 1/4 can chicken pate for each cat twice a day or something like that. I have two cats, so I use up both cans in one day (refrigerate between servings of course).
