I adored the book. Roald Dahl is my favorite children’s author. My kids love his books too. I was thrilled to see my favorite director was going to take on the movie adaptation. He didn’t disappoint. 2 thumbs up. Going as felicity fox for Halloween.

My 2nd favorite Dahl book, the first being Charlie & the Chocolate Factory. The stop-frame animation movie by Wes Anderson based their puppets on these illustrations by Donald Chaffin - which are wonderful.

I have purchased quite a few Roald Dahl books online, which are classified as used but acceptable, but this has been of the worst quality by far. Agreed it was cheap, but the book was clearly an ex-library book, with pages ripped and sellotaped, and some hanging out. Other books bought from various providers have been of similar cost, but much better quality. Though having said that the book is perfectly readable, but one I will throw away after reading it once, rather than keep.

This is an absolute disgrace! Do not order, I ordered this book and it is currently a library book with the label inside it! This was a stocking filler for my little boys Christmas present! So now cant be given!

Exactly as described! A few minor dings along the edge of the cover indicate the book was well loved and adds to its charm and character. Inside, the book is graced with smooth, intact pages. I ordered two, one of which came with a jacket in great condition, with or without it, this little blue book will be a handsome to your collection.
I love this book. The illustrations are charming...one of the main reasons I wanted a hard cover copy of this classic children's book. The dust jacket is in even better condition that it appears online, Shipped very quickly as well. I am completely happy with this purchase.
I bought this as Mt daughter was covering it in school. We've absolutely enjoyed reading it together
My grandson (6yrs old) has just learned to read. The font and illustrations in this edition make reading a delight for him. He has enjoyed reading the story to his little sister and they both love the humour in both the text and drawings.
Since we have loved the story, we decided to get this book as an upcoming study unit for our homeschool reading curriculum. This is such a great story and would make a nice book for anyone young or old to read. A very nice choice to read to younger children. It's very clear to say that we are huge fans of Roald Dahl's books.
