Frantic jittery image playback at a few points. One time I was flying a plane on a mission, the screen went dark and then jumped to end game animation with the character in a chaise lounge on the beach. Just weird. But I can forgive that, because the game is that good. When the game starts, choose the female Dani character. She is excellent.

Far cry series was my favorite growing up. The last few releases- far cry 5, new dawn and 6 have been really disappointing to me. The aspects of the game that I enjoyed have been lost and now it just seems very milked at this point just to release a new game. I finished far cry 6 and never had to hunt even 1 animal the entire game. The older games you had to hunt animals the entire game to upgrade your gear and now you just get like 2 minute stamina increase if you get bear skin or whatever. Super unnecessary and you can beat the whole game without it. Also the stranger things dlc was pretty cool plus it was a free in game mission. Still love farcry but hope they step it up in the next one.

Great graphics - PS5 upgrade should be mega !
20 July 2022

Addictive, and engaging. Some great new features on previous editions, although flying cars are way more fun than riding a horse. Graphics are great, and the variation in gameplay is difficult to better; fishing, driving missions, wingsuit journeys, hunting, chasing chickens, collecting comics, blasting everything with tanks, mortars, or RAV4s...you're never short of something to do. Helicopters are the best and quickest way to get around, especially those armed with rockets. Overal, a great game, but I still have a penchant for Farcry 5, (and New Dawn). I guess that Montana is a more familiar backdrop than Yara, (Cuba).

Like it's predecessors, it doesn't disappoint!

Just like its predecessors before it, Far Cry has not disappointed so far. The games graphics are awesome, gameplay is fun and addicting, and controller enhancements add to the realism for the PS5. It has a much more believable storyline than Far Cry 5. The Antagonist is a corrupt government leader (believable). Rogue government takeover of a small country has me addicted. The only downside is the game gets a little repetitive (like the old Far Cry games) when playing for more than a few hours at a time. I find taking a few days breaks in between sessions helps keep the game entertaining and interesting. The only complaint I have with these games is the unrealistic headshots. It does take some getting used too. You need to carry weapons for the right job, and use the correct ammo against the correct bad guys. That being said, the Bow doesn't disappoint and remains my favorite FC weapon of choice. Love the game and will continue to support the Far Cry brand.

Already traded it in. At first the newness of the yearly far cry game, games i love may i add made me love the game. After about 20 hrs in the excitment wore out. Not much has changed and actually has got worse. Enemies dont feel nearly as difficult you can literally run up on many even if they see you and stab them and quickly run to next then the next. Every once in a while theyll overwhelm you but not much. Yes world is cool as usual the driving feels better. Graphics dont seem as polished as years past and the story didnt keep me interested. He just appears after you just took a 3 mile boat ride across the map and boom their is your companion. Just stupid. New weapons make no sense disco gun really isnt fun to use. Jetpack is cool but newness doesnt last pretty limited on using it too. The final nail in the goffin and i boxes it up and traded it in was once i found a tank and put on special gloves that repaired the vehicle constantly as it took on damage i was literally invincible even before i was 25 30 % into the game. Keep in my mind i screw around alot in far cry which is half the fun so 20hrs in i wasnt to far in yet. One last thing you dont feel scared of the enviroment your in like in almost all the far crys before it. Animals attack sometimes but easily handled and not very many. Even sharks in water your not afraid of. You get little bite u turbln whack em they run then come get you again after a bit..not good not worth the money. Maybe 19.99 game very dissappointed.

I’m a huge Far Cry fan. I have all of the numbered sequels. I even have Primal, which I didn’t expect it to be great but they really pulled it off. This one seemed like one of those “in between”, shorter versions you get periodically (like New Dawn). The graphics aren’t as good as Far Cry 5. The gameplay messes up frequently still. The crouch button stops working, audio dialog drops out, missions won’t complete. I know they’ll fix all this eventually but it’s an annoyance. I like the old Far Cry formula. Unlock towers or regions and defeat the camps to unlock more weapons. Buy those weapons and add extended mags and suppressors to them. Buy those weapons and add extended mags and suppressors to them. Upgrade the skill tree so you can perform death from above/below, wing suit, running reload, etc. I miss the injectables that allow you to see hidden enemies, run faster, and hold your breath longer. Bring back the rock distraction!!! I loved the stealth factor in the older series. You do still have these perks (in a sense). You have a baseball instead of rocks. But only a limited number and you have to keep it in whichever “Supremo” load-out you have at the time. The “Supremo” is a special backpack that does certain kinds of damage and you can source materials to get different kinds. You can also source materials to add things to them like the baseball (used instead of the rocks for distraction), land mines, C4, dynamite, etc., but you have to find the limited resources to unlock these items and you can only load four of these items into any Supremo pack. Now you can switch these packs out during gameplay but it’s time consuming. You can also switch out any of the weapons you own though the same method. Again. Time consuming. I miss the old weapon wheel that let me switch through the weapons I was carrying as well as the C4, motives, grenades, throwing knives…. Now you can collect cars, boats, air travel, etc. All you do is find one of these items and take it back to one of the Guerrilla bases and park it next to the apparatus that saves it for you. Some of the weapons are pretty cool but they’re mostly weak. The Grenade and mussel launches do not destroy plains, tanks, or helicopters with fewer than three hits. Actually nothing will destroy those things with less than a few hits. And the stealth isn’t friendly at all anymore. Crouching in bushes doesn’t even give you a “hidden” indicator and the enemies seem to see you quite easily. You can still shoot out the alarm panels and cameras to avoid reinforcements getting called in but the old stealth mechanic is just gone. It’s a very different game from the old series. But you will find some similarities. The story is pretty good. Still old school Far Cry. Crazy Dictator takes over a region. You form alliances to bring them down while opening the map.

This is a fun game without a doubt. However, it’s basically the same as all the other farcry games. The story is flimsy and the game becomes very easy after unlocking a few weapons and animal companions. I suggest skipping the season pass because it’s kinda boring and doesn’t take long at all to finish. Also, I’m pretty disappointed that the newest DLC isn’t even included in the season pass?! Then it’s not really a season pass is it? But, it is fun to run around and blow stuff up or send your various animals to do your bidding and there are a few funny parts. When Dani starts singing in the car it makes me laugh every time.

I don't know what I was hoping for with this game. Maybe some Cool New Next Gen features or something to make the Far Cry formula fresh again. The series has felt long overdue for some much needed innovation & reinvigoration. In these regards, the game FAILS miserably. I've personally played all the Far Cry Games & would say Far Cry 3 was the pinnacle of series in terms of gameplay, storytelling & innovation in the series. Far Cry 4 & 5 were basically clones of Far Cry 3 with very little innovation, neither of them topped Far Cry 3's Characters or Story. Far Cry 6 sadly follows suit with 4 & 5. I would consider 4 & 5 good games BUT this standard Far Cry/ Ubisoft formula is feeling very stale in the current generation of games. Riding horses & being able to have a K-9 or Crocodile companion to help attack bases is cool, but that is literally the only new feature I can think of in this game. Otherwise the story is pretty blah. Far Cry 3 is still the Gold Standard in the storytelling & character department. Even Gus Fring couldn't save this one! The characters are not really that interesting & the story feels like a rehash from games 4 & 5. This game really feels like they don't have any fresh ideas for this series & the franchise sorely needs some fresh ideas & innovation. I honestly feel like I spent 60 bucks on a new dlc pack, disappointing.

This is a fantastic game. The map allows players to explore at their will. Graphics are great. Story is phenomenal. Just when I thought it was over, the game kept going. I got the game on sale for $10, and I have definitely gotten my money's worth. I am excited to see the next game in the series. My only real complaint, though, is that the language is way overboard. I get that this is a violent game, but the language was too over-the-top. I know this won't deter many from buying the game, which is not my goal. Like I said, I have loved playing it. There were just times, however, thinking "Enough with the F-bombs already."
