We gently began the introduction, offering lots of pets and treats and keeping an eye on boundaries and body language. To our surprise, Old Man took to Crazy Kitten almost immediately and didn’t display any of his normal apprehension or aggression. Safe to say Feliway will be purchased for every outlet because there is a peace in our home we previously never would have expected. It does not make any noise and the smell is undetectable to my partner and I. If we didn’t have a ten year record of Old Man being mean and antisocial I’d have believed the plug in wasn’t doing much of anything, but the proof is clear!

While I did receive my Fellway Diffuser Starter Set as a complimentary product, my opinions are honest and my own. Having a household of pets there can be times where stress seems to come in cycles and this type of product can really help ease and sooth that skittish anxiety our furry friends sometimes get! Perhaps my cats are not as overly anxious as others as I did not see much of a change in behavior or personality, though there was still a lot of relaxing and sleeping around the room/area the diffuser effected, so clearly it didn’t drive them away from the area whatsoever. I would absolutely say if you’re looking for a VERY simple way to help calm and relax your cats this is a fantastic option, as it’s incredibly easy to use and no muss or fuss involved!

I had good luck with the Feliway pheromone collars with her in the past but she doesn’t like to wear them. When I had the opportunity to try this diffuser kit I jumped! I thought it would be the perfect solution. I will say that you should put it somewhere more open and in a regular outlet because where I have it, I feel as though it doesn’t expose the cats as much as it should to the pheromones. It’s in the bathroom where their litter box is, so they don’t spend very much time there. That was the only place I could put it, unfortunately, so my baby doesn’t get it. Beware - Extreme Danger

I was happy with this product until the diffuser nearly burned my house down. Fortunately I was home when the thing went haywire. I first thought the bacon I'd fried was responsible for the smoky smell. Then I realized the house was getting cloudy/smoky inside. I searched everywhere for the source and finally realized it was the diffuser. There was still quite a bit of oil in the jar, so it wasn't running dry. This was amazing because, when I grabbed the thing to unplug it, I found it the glass container as well as the entire diffuser was coated and dripping hot oil. It was hot enough I burned my hand and had to run and grab a cloth to unplug it. There was hot oil on the outlet and even spitting onto the wall behind the electrical outlet. Did Not Work - Made Issues Worse

I purchased this product and the Feliway spray to help two of my cats who have anxiety. My animal hospital uses the Feliway spray and diffusers and recommended these. My cats never seem calm there despite their use of the Feliway products, but I was so desperate to help my cats I decided to try these anyway to mark them off the list of things I have tried. Several days after I began using these products, my cats began fighting more than usual and one urinated outside of the litterbox. After I discontinued the spray and the diffuser, their behaviour went back to normal. I have found the best de-stressors are cat videos, windows to look out of, catnip and catnip toys, and using cat wands to play with them which tires them out. The diffuser also gets very hot within about 30 minutes - the animal hospital staff said I could leave it plugged in for 24 hours, but I would definitely advise against this. As others have stated when it gets hot there is a smell that something is burning. Humans are not supposed to be affected by this, but I had a headache whenever I used the diffuser or the spray. I give the Feliway diffuser and the spray 1 star since 0 is not an option but Chewy gets 5 stars for being so kind and helpful. They refunded my money for these products which I truly appreciate. Feliway fail?

I have been successfully using Feliway diffuser to calm my very active cat for 2 years, often reviewing the product. And recommending to anyone I know. But this last batch has failed to keep her calm at night. When we adopted this slightly feral cat we hoped she would settle into a routine and become a happy member of our family. After 6 months and her aggression increasing toward my small dog we began using the plug in diffuser. The improvement was immediate!!! We went along happily for a year and a half. Then after my little dog had a back injury and a 3 month recovery that sucked up all my attention the cat began to meow and cry all night long. Sometimes scratching or throwing herself at my french door. Hope the quality has not gone down!

I have my cat back!

Roo did great the first time he moved houses, so we didn't anticipate any behavior changes when we moved to our new apartment; however, going from the country to the big city was a big change for such a little guy, and he showed his displeasure by doing his business everywhere BUT his (spacious, clean, conveniently located) litter box. In addition, he became shy, fearful, and skittish, completely unlike the snuggly and adventurous cat we love. He was totally frightened by her unprovoked aggression. None of the behavioral tricks for slowly introducing new cats into a household worked. When I started using the Feliway diffuser the conflict settled down a bit, but it took a over a month to see a noticeable improvement. After a couple of months, I stopped using the product thinking a peace truce had been established. Unfortunately, tensions soon escalated again. Life saver

I haven't yet used this batch of Optimum diffusers, but I can say with confidence that Feliway Optimum diffusers in general are phenomenal. At least for my cat! He had gone through several traumatic years before we adopted him and had significant behavioral issues to the point that I had several feline behavioral experts' numbers in my phone and was planning to shell out hundreds of dollars for sessions with them in hopes of being able to live peacefully in my own house again. Trying this diffuser (which I originally got for free from someone in my Buy Nothing group) was a last ditch effort. But within 3 days of turning it on, I had a different cat. He doesn't have an agitated flicking low tail all the time and his tail is even in the distinctive happy curled question mark position most of the time while he walks around our house. I love to see it! This diffuser combined with at least 10 minutes of vigorous play with Da Bird products every day does the trick. We even know when to change it (about every 3 weeks) because his "goblin mode" behavior starts to increase again. Pricey but we would pay almost anything for these results.
