I previously bought the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe, as I wanted something a bit different from my Quilter Mach 2, but after a while I found that the Quilter just had an alround better sound, so moved it on. Then when the Tonemaster Princeton came out, I was tempted to try it, as have always been a fan of the valve model. So took the plunge buying online, so I could return it, if it wasn't any better than the Deluxe model. To me this sounds way better than the deluxe, with a real nice ring to it and does get the sound of the Princeton valve version. It's just a lovely sounding combo, lightweight, as per my Quilter, but with the different sound I was after. The Princeton Tonemaster really has some top quality sounds. Sounds great even at lower attenuated volumes and gives that edge of break up crunch as well as sparkling cleans. The Reverb and Tremolo are also as close to the original as you can get. Definitely the winner of the Tonemaster range for me and I have owned all of them. First class!
