I will order another larger pergola through Tip Top Yards for my other deck. This one was very easy to put together and looks great.

Also available at Bunnings for lower cost, but they had none in, and we needed to buy now. Nice looking unit, looking forward to installing it over the christmas break.

Kit arrived without any worries and was pretty straight forward to assemble once you put in your footings. Took an afternoon to put up. If I were to start again I'd of bought a longer handled rubber mallet. Also used Ramset anchor screws to fix off against the house instead of the supplied.

The patio cover is great. Easy to put together, but the instructions were not good. We got a 7.3m cover which consists of 3m + 4.25m + Link kit. The instructions are all separate, not integrated properly, so there are things that you need to undo after you've done them. There's no info on how to integrate the 2 sets so that makes it more difficult. Otherwise, it works well. The gutters are pretty shallow and overflow in heavy rain, otherwise no problem.
Just wanted to say was super impressed. The delivery was speedy, with the most easiest instructions. We got the 7m pergola which comes with the joining kit.Parts are strong and sturdy with no form of flex after completion. The colour was close to monument which is what we were after. Was happy to see that the roof panels are sealed at the ends of the honeycomb, which stopped moisture and bugs getting in.Would love to see if Palram make extra items, such as to block off gutter flow one end to have a downpipe on one side rather than both. And if they make covers to cover the base plate of the posts so it looks more seamless. The whole pergola can be completed in a day with two people and was a pleasure making it.
I am very happy with your product. The attraction for for me was the fact that it was adjustable as I had constraints about where I wanted it to fit. The adjustment of the posts both sideways and depth wise were enough that I thought I could fit it in my available space (I've worked as an Aeronautical Engineer all my life so I figured I could "make it fit" given the dimensions available). I had no problems erecting the structure. The hardest job was drilling the holes through the brick pavers into the concrete slab beneath, but that is not related to to the product. The quality is excellent, and the value is good. Bunnings stock this item for ~$1500 but only in white (sigh ;) ), and I wanted grey. I found 4 websites selling this, but for three of them it was either ... MoreI am very happy with your product. Bunnings stock this item for ~$1500 but only in white (sigh ;) ), and I wanted grey. I found 4 websites selling this, but for three of them it was either out of stock or discontinued. Such is the limited choice in Australia due to the small market. Your website advised to call first to check stock, which I did, and you had two left, one of which I bought. The only problem I had was with the roof panels. I followed the diagrams in the installation instructions initially and had problems with the end panels which kept "popping up" at the outer corners. I then reread the installation instructions (as an engineer does), which said to start installing the roof panels from the middle (different to the diagrams). I then took off all the roof panels and installed them again from the middle outwards. I still ended up with a problem of a panel "popping up" at one front corner. I manufactured a packer and played with the fastening of the beam that the roof panel connected to, and it has been OK for a few weeks now. The problem (the engineer in me is speaking here) is that as more roof panels are added, they are 'tensioned' and apply greater tension to adjacent panels. This induces the roof beams that they connect to to twist, which results in the formed edges of the roof panels being unable to clip into the top of the beams properly.I am fortunate in having an engineering background which enables me to solve problems I come across, but I suspect the average handyman would struggle a bit with this product. All that said, I'm very happy with the product. It's just what I wanted.
This canopy is easy to assemble, is leak free and looks fantastic. I was apprehensive about buying one of these as a kit, but am glad I did.The components are packaged with care and well protected. This comes in one big box which is extremely heavy and a struggle to move. I told told the delivery guys to dump it on my front garden and should have let them out it where I want it.The instructions are illustrations and are really easy to follow with no confusion. You need to lay a solid foundation. This can be concrete, blocks or thick timber on decking. I layed 3 concrete blocks with fast set postcrete. We layed pavers after the canopy was installed for aesthetic appeal. The legs are easily adjusted in both directions which offers flexibility with positioning.Fit the wall plate to your wall at your preferred height. I did this on my own by fixing one bolt and then levelling it in using the bottom edge up with the brick work as suggested. Seal with exterior silicone.Build the front and lift it into position. It's very light and can be held upright by one person whilst the other bolts on the end beams. It stays up once this is done. I leveled and plumbed the legs, then bolted them down at this stage. The instructions suggest doing that last. This is great if you want to play around with leg positioning and pitch afterwards. The remaining rafters can be put in place with one person if required. They all line up perfectly and go together like a dream. Remove the protective film from both sides of the polycarb panels. Slide them into position and tap into place using a rubber mallet. The gutter works really well. My only grumble is the joining clip restricts water flow in the middle. I cut the inside lip off to get over this. You can do this in a day if you graft. 2 days over a sunny weekend is a breeze. I'd also allow two days for inexperienced DIYers. This looks smart, hasn't leaked and is solid.
Easy install, clear instructions and completely changed the feel of the house. The quality was good of all the component parts. We have had plenty of rain to test it out and not any problems. Used CT1 to hold and water proof the wall plate.
First thing to say is the people at Palram are extremely attentive, great communicators and although I had no difficulties, I felt that had there been it would have been dealt with efficiently. The patio cover was very straightforward to build using the picture instructions, with surprisingly few parts, although two people recommended it is possible on your own with a little support. The overall quality and finish is excellent and looks better than some of my neighbours expensive conservatories (embarrassing) build time was approx 3 hours most difficult job 6 holes in brick wall so decent masonary bit required. The moveable leg system was vital as we have a restricted space, this allowed a custom look to work with what we had. I can’t express any further pleased we ... MoreFirst thing to say is the people at Palram are extremely attentive, great communicators and although I had no difficulties, I felt that had there been it would have been dealt with efficiently. Absolutely love this product, very well made and love the transparent roof, we’re using it to cover hot tub which it does perfectly. The price is great as we had a few company’s round and they were so much more expensive. I took to of us just over 3 hours to build and found the instructions easy t follow. I would highly recommend this.
