Great bit of kit. Powerful, compact and though I initially thought the self-tapper screw function was unnecessary, it has proved to be remarkably effective. I like the light weight, the ergonomics are just about perfect and the brushless motor is very smooth. Excellent tool.

I use many Festool products so decided to replace my Makita impact with this one as my Makita was becoming a little sluggish, I’m surprised to say even my sluggish 5+ year old Makita has way more power than the Festool impact. It struggles to drive 100mm screws in to C24 and even cuts out from time to time and has a rattle sound to it.

As I have just received this Impact Driver to replace my Makita DTD 148, which keeps falling apart, my first impressions are as I remember trying one at a Festool Road Show, as a grunty, yet gentle for Tek Screws, useful tool. No doubt time will tell and hopefully confirm my decision
